What is your experience with the Ford chat regarding updates?

Last week they gave me the railcar number and I have been calling every day and apparently it's 3 hours away from the destination and been sitting there for 12 days now... does anyone know if my dealership should know some more information? it's very frustrating to know it's so close but not moving, should I try to find the number of the rail station and ask?

Then, today in another effort to get some more info/update from the Ford chat, I talked to two different people and they both told me they don't have the railcar number, how weird is this? you had it last week but not today? so wanted to ask if some of you are having or had a similar experience... it went from bad to worse
First off, is the rail yard which it has been sitting for 12 days its unloading point? If so, a 12 day wait is normal. At a TDSI or auto unloading yard, it will be unloaded form the auto rack rail car where it will sit until a convoy truck picks it up - times have varied. Unfortunately, dealers have no control over when a convoy truck picks orders up from a rail yard. Some of them seem to be able to see when an "estimated pick up" is scheduled, but this seems to vary.

Ford chat seems to be unreliable. Some of them are helpful and some are not - it depends on who you on the other end of the line. Basically after it's dropped at the final rail yard, tracking goes blank.

Dropping by to send some good vibes so all y’all waiting can get your Broncos fast. I’ve had mine since last Friday and I’m loving every bit of it especially with the mods now. Hang tight. Y’all are almost at the finish line.

Ford chat has been about 50/50 when I’ve reached out to them whether they do anything beyond look at the basic customer tracker that just says in production, built, etc. When I get someone who will only give the current status, I just close chat and reopen a new window to see if I have better luck with the next. They’re super hit or miss.

My guess is that yours might be at the railyard waiting for a ride to the dealer on convoy. When you call the rail company, do they tell you the final destination? For example, mine is on CSX and they give the last location/time as well as the estimated date/time to reach the railyard in Dixiana, SC. Mine will presumably hang out in Dixiana until there is a convoy load heading back up towards NC, which will take it to my dealer in Statesville. Some folks have had theirs waiting for convoy at the railyard for a week or two, possibly even longer. Might be worth having your dealer check with their rep.
My experience with chat has been similar...they seem to have limited information (confirmation that it's "In Transit", and they can tell me the location). This was helpful while the car was actually moving...as soon as it stopped (in Illinois in my case), they can't provide any additional information. Chat will steer you to the Toll Free number. That team is hit or miss as well, the gal I spoke with yesterday wasn't helpful at all. The frustrating part is that Ford can't tell us why our vehicle isn't moving...the Dealership can't tell us why it isn't moving...so who in the hell can?!? I find it strange that I would have to call a railroad company to get the status of my car. This is just another example of Ford's ineptitude and poor customer service.

Thanks for your kind replies.
Good to know your experience with the Ford chat, definitely they should change the whole process of how to keep track of your delivery, it's so easy to just keep the gps on and give the owner access to track the vehicle but it seems they don't want to do this...

When I call CSX, they just say the last update and no ETA available, does this mean it's in the final destination? to me it's weird this is the last destination since it's currently in Winslow, AZ and the dealership it's in Scottsdale, AZ, which has Phoenix railyard much closer... my other car got delivered to the dealership through the Phoenix railyard. But maybe for this Bronco there is a convoy loading and heading to the dealer from the current location, if that's the case, then I can understand that it has been sitting there for 2 weeks now. When calling the dealership, they didn't provide much info either, they say it can be here any day, but don't know when.

So if my order was placed on 06.27.2022 with a priory code 19, any idea worse case scenario of a delivery? 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?
I placed my reservation in early 2021.
The other factor is I’ve ordered a Wildtrak with hardtop, Fox suspension, luxury package and tow package. I realize that’s not going to help with delivery!!

How did you place your order on 06.27.2022? order banks are closed and don't open for MY 23 until mid August.

I believe it was due to my reservation dating back to when they were first being offered. My reservation was made 1.5 years ago.
Or maybe I’m privileged having owned 3 Raptors and a Shelby GT-350šŸ˜‚.
Whatever the case my order is in and I’m wondering what the average wait time is from order placed to delivery?

None of your previous Ford purchases factor in to any of this. If it did I would got mine last year. I have 27.5 years in at Ford and have own nothing but Fords my entire adult life. Too many to list and too many to remember.

Order banks for 2022 models closed on March 7, 2022.

My guess is you will be first in line for a 2023.

Yeah, the Raptor/Shelby reference was just a joke for the record. 27.5 years of Ford ownership! I surprised you didn’t give up after 10!
I’m not delusional, I clearly don’t hold any weight with Ford. They sent me an invitation to reserve a Bronco Raptor which I accepted. Five days later they sent me an email saying the allocation was full and they couldn’t offer it anymore. I wish I didn’t like the Bronco so much as I wouldn’t subject myself to this nonsense and just purchase a Jeep.

So I’m confused. If my order wasn’t placed, why did I receive an official email from Ford (corporate) confirming my order with all the options I selected?

Update on my build: Built 6/8 and supposedly shipped on 6/21. I received the railcar info and as of 7/9 tracked it to Alrlington, TX. CSX verbiage: ā€œReleased by the customer on UP at 4:39pm on 7/9ā€. Dealership is in Odessa, TX.
Contacted dealer and dealer responds that my Bronco is in OH with no additional information. How can that be? Ford Chat provided the same info and my delivery date moved out two weeks. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Sounds like your order has been received by Ford. Now for the wait…
