Need some help: Dealer possibly ruined back window

Why would you put the temp tag in the rear window of a soft top anyway? Top goes down you can no longer see temp tag!

every jeep or convertible I ever owned,the temp tag has always been out in the rear license plate holder

I actually removed it from the rear window and stuck in where license plate normally goes lol

I would try a steamer over a heat gun, but man that’s crazy. If it doesn’t come out I would have them replace the rear window.

fight the dealer, this is 100% their fault and they need to make it right.

Alternately, plan on being petty and buy similar letters that spell out

"DAMAGED MY SOFT TOP."
Place them below the damage and peel them off after the same length of time.

Tell them you're going to drive around with the window distress they caused directly affecting their reputation.

Manager at dealer said “need me to order you one they’re like $750” I said yeah and I’m not paying for it, my windows are stamped forever lol hopefully they order it and don’t give me no trouble, I’ll let y’all know.

I generally dislike the promo stuff dealers do like license plate holders and adhesive stickers on a rear panel, but they are at least reasonable (and I forgot to warn them not to put a label on the tailgate so I live with it).

What they put on the window seems completely unacceptable to me. I would be peeved as hell. If the vehicle had been a manikin or a dealership vehicle and you were purchasing it used, they had right to do that to their vehicle. To find that on a special order, brand new, vehicle I would be flipping out.

I've noticed that the side and rear windows take impressions pretty easily, but given a day or two they will work their way out. It's a soft material that sort of "heals" especially in the heat. I absolutely hate those big window stickers that dealers put in cars but it shouldn't have damaged anything long term. Give it a day or two and see if it solves the problem on its own.

Been like this for 2 weeks, and it’s been in direct sunlight, Louisiana heat been 100+ degrees everyday….borderline miserable outside. Can’t even touch it midday….was really hoping that would’ve done it.
