Yes, check the thread linked below. It explains exactly how to identify your engine and when it was built. To be clear, I'm not at all saying the OP's Bronco has this issue, just letting you know how to determine the build dates of your engine.Does anyone know for sure when the 2.7L engine was built that was put in their bronco? If so, how can I tell/find out? Mine OBX was built mid December, so I thought the engine might have possible been built before that, which COULD put me in the October engine with the issue. I'm just past the 2000 mile mark, but it would be nice to feel like I don't have to worry. (I know there could always be something else, LOL)
