Ford Slide Out Tailgate

I have a 4d BL(sas) on order and was not able to order it with the Ford Slide Out Tailgate. Any ideas on where to order this?

I believe it’s a Ford installed item and not available to purchase after the build.

Like many things that ford told us about the bronco you can’t get it. It was one of my favorite parts when they introduced the bronco

There's no way it won't be available as an accessory part once demand from factory builds die down. And if not, aftermarket will probably improve upon it

I tried that. My Dealer could not add it to my BL/SAS. Really bummed about this. I wonder why dealers can't install it?

Dealer says it can't be added to the Badlands/SAS only. I suspect that it has to do with weight (like not being able to add a roof rack)

it is standard on the Everglades. I actually sat on the tailgate of the Everglades model at Bronco Super Celebration East in TN. It was very solid. I loved it and would definitely put in my build, if it applied to me, however, 2 doors are out of luck.

You can't have it, like so many other things Ford told us about the bronco. When they first introduced the bronco, it was one of my favorite scenes.

Anyone have any reason as to why this can't be added to to SAS models, but can be to a WT which is pretty much a SAS?

Makes no sense like you can't get the brush bar on a 2.7L BL, but you can on a OBX or WT.

Cause I would like to add the slide out tailgate to my OBX order, but don't want to pay the extra 3K Canadian to go up to a WT. Just for the accessory that's a $650 option...

These config issues usually come down to weight and having to leave at least 1,000lbs of GVWR left for passengers and cargo

Okay, but is there much of a weight difference between a SAS OX and WT that I also can't add the cargo area floor mat to a SAS OBX?
