You know what? I really don't think that the remaining Ice/Dirt Mountain Bronco's are going anywhere in the year 2022.
It has been a long time since we have seen any progress of any kind.

I did have hope that they would throw some extra labor at the problem at the end of each quarter to pump up their production numbers, but I no longer think that will happen. Ford has 52,000+ vehicles in holding lots and they are now closing down plants. They simply don't have parts available to "pump up their production numbers" at the end of the the quarters, even if they wanted to. They allowed the problem to spiral completely out of control.

I really think this will continue until Ford has a situation where they have 2022 model year vehicles hanging around in holding lots when its the year 2023. The end of the 1st quarter of 2023 is when I predict Ford will feel compelled to do whatever is necessary to fully complete any remaining 2022 model year vehicles, because that's the point when a bunch of incomplete 2022 vehicles will be transparently embarrassing for them. They will no longer be able to use "global supply chain chip shortage blah blah blah" as an excuse to reporters/investors after months of shipping 2023 model year vehicles, and no longer having access to that excuse will force their hand...

#onWheelsinventory. 53k vehicles end of Q1 being held. Ford is underwater and bitten off more than it can chew with F150 Lightning, Raptor, etc.

Ill be looking for color from today’s shareholder call in hopes Im wrong. But 53K!! Even just processing half of that off the production line seems to be a long, slow mission. I might give them through summer to deliver (but do I really want a Bronco sititng idle that long?).

I started looking at market Broncos but could never justify paying 85k for a build that’s 47-50.
See my post above. I bought one yesterday. 52k. Whatever you pay is what you can get for your order or resell the other. There could be some transactions net costs but decided that was worth it.

I talked to a bubbly lady from the customer service line today. She was so excited that I had a new Bronco. I told her I don’t have a new Bronco yet. She asked how long I’ve been waiting and I told her two years. She said, “Oh well, it should be here any day now.” 😏

She referred me to the New Bronco Team Line @ 1-800-548-3212. I think I got the number by mistake, the options were dealer number or case number. I had neither but went with the option for case number. The new lady sounded confused when I explained what I was wanting to know about my Bronco and asked if I was a dealer or a customer. She told me some specific things that had been going on with my Bronco as she looked at her computer screen. She said a few things like she didn’t know which went with my Bronco, like she was looking at information on a group of Broncos. From what she told me I think it’s awaiting shipment now. The new dates she gave me are May 13th-27th. 🤥

Called my dealer afterwards and he had none of this information. He told me they got three Broncos yesterday. He said he was hoping one of them was mine but none of them were. Some lucky duck followed one of the Broncos in and bought it right off the lot. 🥹

Where did you find it?

Our posts crossed paths and state similar stuff. One ounce of transparency from Ford would go a long way. I wont be happy if were SOL but it would be nice to finally make decisions.

Seems to be consistent across our group. I talked to FOMOCO Customer Service this morning and the rep LOL'd when he saw my EDD had been moved back in time to April. I seemed to get the most helpful person I've had the pleasure in speaking with yet, Daniel. He told me he would keep my case open and begin calling me every few days to update me since he saw how often I had been calling in... Now lets see if that actually happens.

#FreeourBroncos
Yeah they told me yesterday that I've called like 50 times so they will escalate my order and create a case with logistics to get to the bottom of this . I didn't even know they tracker how many times you called. I always thought they were told to contact your dealer since they have more info 🤣🤣🤣

Yup still in production, built but on a chip hold. Had a EDD of 05MAY then 16-24MAY and now the rep said that’s gone.
Feb 7th, then May 7th, then maybe the 14th, to now on chip hold. Yay us!

I would agree with this- up until recently i have said a bunch of us would get them after the end of Q2 push- so we would get them in July and August but not all of us would be in that push and i thought that the remainder would be in Q4 after being completed at the end of Q3. Now, with this new revelation that they are parking 53000 vehicles with no plan i really am struggling to think that they are going to prioritize our hundreds or thousands of broncos over the rest of their vehicles that they have parked. i thought the fact that they weren't taking orders would let them go through their backlog of orders and dirt mountain but they're still parking vehicles to this day so it looks pretty bad. I'm continuing to hang in there on the hope that i'll be one of the end of Q2 builds but if i get any info that it's going to be an indefinite wait then i am going to go with a wrangler

Im pretty much at this point. The fact there has been no direct communication from Ford and everything we know has been discerned from higher level statements by Ford executives, pulled from articles or discovered by our own members (example- videos from MAP), I have no confidence the backlog can be cleared quickly or with any sort of organization except higher revenue vehicles will be prioritized. I also doubt older orders with price protection or agreed to be sold at earlier MSRP will be put at the front of the line. They let those sit and perhaps they can depreciate it to where the price is easier to swallow (where are my GAAP experts?).

I understand the original accounting decision to keep building but 53K of “on wheels inventory” sitting there astounds me and appears to be a huge liability. But then again, Im not in automobile production management.

Good luck to all. Ill probably hang on until mid-July.

I was putting off getting an inspection sticker on my car. For some strange reason I thought I’d be driving my Bronco by now. Gave up on the wait and got one today.
