In the red means spinning too fast. You don't get just a dot at the start of the redline. The lower portion is the beginning of it and it continues to all engine speeds above that.

In the red means spinning too fast. You don't get just a dot at the start of the redline. The lower portion is the beginning of it and it continues to all engine speeds above that.
Thank you for your post! Is this normal? We took it yesterday for it’s longest ride since we got it, and I noticed the lines there today…😌

Yes it's completely normal for the redline to span across the two bars at the top of the bar tachometer. On a normal analog gauge this would be the equivalent of showing the entire range above which the engine is spinning too quickly. So on an analog gauge depending on the application it would start from say 5500 rpm all the way to the maximum indicated engine speed.

Here's an example from my 2016 Mustang GT which goes from 6500 to 8000 rpm for the redline.
