Well, my dealer calls me out of the blue yesterday. This is unusual as I haven't received too many communications from them the last 7 months. The person calling is their IT, sales and Custom order manager. He starts the conversation with, I wanted to let you know, I got very concerned with your order due to its delay in coming and that we have received quite a few Broncos built AFTER yours that have been received and sold. Some of these we ordered after yours also. He then told me he had called a higher level person he knows personally at Ford, and got the reason. So you can take this with a grain of salt, "my dealer said" or whatever, but here's what he told me and what he truly believes what Ford is doing. Ford has run out of many modules, and parts but continues to produce the vehicles and parks them keeping the lines open for full production regardless of what parts are missing. Any spare parts from the week are then used to finish sitting vehicles, which means if you're missing three modules, and they have spares for two of them that week you still sit until you get picked again and your missing module is available as a spare from that weeks production. This would make sense to the randomness and the fact so many vehicles sit while others get shipped from whatever build week you're from. Just thought some of you would like to know, that its Ford who decided they would keep production numbers up for shareholders, while we get the short end of the stick as customers. Just food for thought.

I had to do it on my IPhone. I was using Chrome on my IPad and the register link simply didn’t appear. Not sure if that’s what you experienced.

I’ve tried with my iPhone13 on both chrome and safari. It says Register your email, but there is no button to register. It’s been super frustrating. I’m usually very well versed in tech and interwebs but this is making me feel dumb as shit.

started with trying to add $5,000 for using outside financing. Then added on $995 for the classic dealer scams of etching, paint protection, and some other junk.

took four hours but we finally arrived at a deal with no markup.

the best part of the whole ordeal was that I learned my salesman also ordered a bronco.l back in August (4 dr wildtrak). Had zero clue when it was coming in. All he knew was that it was “soon.” I broke the news that it was riding on the same convoy as mine. He was ecstatic.

Wow that sucks man. If I knew it would have taken this long I would have never ordered a bronco. If my bronco breaks down within a week of me picking it up I don't know what I'll do

Good for you sticking to your guns! I fell for the VIN etching years ago but know better today. Enjoy your new OBX

Any updates from this post?
I just got off The phone with my dealer. I am still a EDD of apr 28-May 4. But I am still in production. He said that they do get Broncos without the tracker updating. So I am still very hopeful that my bronco will show up within the current EDD. I know I know …..

No, no update. I guess really the only “update” I’ll get is my bronco showing up lol
Still showing May 15, but I’m just preparing for June or July. If I’ve learned one thing throughout this process it’s to set my expectations real low (when it comes to Ford, at least).
