I am waiting to chat until a bit later but, my window sticker date just updated to today's date (I checked an hour or so ago and it still had 4/20 at the bottom. And no judgement... you know you are doing the same :ROFLMAO:) so I feel like that means someone accessed it for something, right? Wishful thinking that it is getting ready to ship?!?

I have read that the date updates every Wednesday on the WS if it has not shipped.

Check pizza tracker, check ordertrack, check backdoor, check email from:ford, check window sticker, check palsapp, check fordpass, if it's been more than a day then chat, convince myself to not check again until tomorrow, two hours later, repeat

So I talked to a sales rep here in my area about the date at the bottom of the window sticker. He said that the date at the bottom is when your vehicle goes through a step of processing/review. So kind of like a bread crumb. It may go from from built (one date) and then scheduled for shipping (another date) to loaded on a train/convoy (another date). He said there are four reasons you would see a lengthy date.....its on hold, it's scheduled for shipping and there is a logistics delay, it's in transition to its destination, or its sitting on your dealers lot and they have not contacted you.

Don't take this as fact, but he has worked there for 17 years. Just happened to run into him at Walmart this morning and he has his Ford dealer shirt own so I thought I'd take a flyer on asking.

I've wondered this, and I do hope it's true. If so, I'm on my fourth iteration of the window sticker. 4/5 (generated), 4/14 (blend), 4/18 (built), and currently 4/22 (?). I know it's not at my dealer yet, so maybe 4/22 is the shipping update? Idk. If it does, by some miracle, show up in the next few days, we may have some evidence to back this up.

So I called the hotline again and she is sure there are no holds on mine it is truly just awaiting shipment, but the ETA has now changed from 4/23-4/28 to 4/30-5/6 now (and this is just an ETA). :( She also said the dealer could provide the most accurate up to date info as her system only updates on Friday. So I think a nice way of saying call your dealer not me. So my dealer texted and said she has not got a shipping notification for mine yet and I asked what the status for hers was. She is an ice mountain refugee that was built on January 19th and has had countless ETA changes. She said she got another ETA bump this morning to the end of MAY.

Sounds like Ford is having some pretty major truck shipping backups.

Spoke with ford customer service. Was told that there is a plant hold and the estimated delivery date is now 5/13. He couldn’t specify the reason for the hold and said the edd may change and to check back on 5/10.
my dealer is literarily outside the map. ☹

That does make a lot of sense. I think it is happening in a lot of demanding industries. I am in public accounting and we are losing people in droves to higher paying, less demanding jobs so it makes sense it is happening in other industries as well.

And we have failed as a country the last decade in pushing college/white collar careers and not blue collar careers because we are going to have a huge shortage of all trades here soon. My husband is a general contractor/carpenter by trade and he has had many issues getting reliable trades to work with over the last few years.
So many people were afraid to lose their jobs prior to covid and just took it in the B hole daily. I think when everyone got sent home indefinitely, it forced their hand to attempt to move on. I think their perspectives changed as availability and demand increased. I'm good with it. Well....except for the trucking industry. I looked into driving truck back when I really enjoyed all aspects of driving. It just couldn't pay me enough. I do well working locally as a union pipefitter, just have to hit the road every couple years when construction dries up in the area.

There are now 507 vehicles "on hold" according to the tracker app. Assuming these are all waiting to be transported, they're going to need a bunch of haulers to clear out that backlog.

Per chat, mine is still on hold. That being said, my ETA has been moving earlier over the last week. Also, my Bronco shows up on my dealers new inventory, if that means anything.

So many posts about the window sticker date. Now I am checking it.

My window sticker date changed to 4/23. Then on 4/25, I was rescheduled (4/22-4/28 became 4/30-5/6).

Today my window sticker went from 4/23 to 4/21. Huh?

I am good with it too. I hope it brings about some changes in our industry that stick (or we won't have an industry because the younger kids coming out of college value their work/life balance way more than we did while growing careers).

So we are back to the dates mean nothing then!
