Vented package shelf for 2 door?

Does anyone know of a cargo shelf for the 2 door model? I need to enclose the rear section for our small dog and instead of placing her in a crate, I'd rather gain a package tray for a couple of bags giving the dog the full cargo area.

Thank you. It first, It looked like it didn't enclose the rear allowing the dog to get out. After scrolling thru more photo's it appears to fully close the gap. If someone has purchased this for a 2 door, can you post pics with the gate closed?

I have purchased it, however my Bronco is still sitting at ice mountain awaiting shipping. I’ll check back when my Bronco arrives and if you still need photos, I’ll post them.

It kind of looks like they have the 2dr shelf mounted in a 4dr in some pictures.

Except the shelf being mounted solidly on a 2-door just about doubles your effective cargo area storage space.

The volume of soft or high-volume/low-density items you can stack on that tray then strap down with a web net is ideal for driving around in bumpy/rocky/undulating areas.

Could you make your own for less with sheet metal? Possibly. Metal prices are through the roof, and they do a nice job with the tie-down spots.

I actually consider the JCR cargo rack a value-proposition modification for the 2-door based on the utility it brings.

FWIW the tailgate table you reference just eats into your cargo space, and what's the point of the molle panel on such it in a small cargo area and given the incredibly low load rating (60lbs isn't much considering dynamic load put on those fasteners)? The lower tiedowns are vastly easier and cheaper (since price is entering into your decision making).

That 2-door lifestyle is all about maximizing the space available.

I believe the shelf will be useful when you have smaller items or bags and you want to load them and retrieve them without having to open the swing gate….just open the glass and place or retrieve the bags from the shelf.

I believe the shelf will be useful when you have smaller items or bags and you want to load them and retrieve them without having to open the swing gate….just open the glass and place or retrieve the bags from the shelf.

Unless you are leaving the spare tire at home you can't open the glass without the tailgate open

Yep, you have to open the tailgate first to open the back window just like a jeep even on the softop

There are plenty of DIY cargo shelf threads, I'm planning on a simple DIY solution when my Bronco shows up and then see how much I miss the extra functionality available with some of the aftermarket shelves.
