Hate to be the barer of bad news. Went to go reinstall my skid plates this morning and when making a sharp turn on a somewhat down hill driveway into my garage - I heard the dreadful rub. Turns out - 285/75 on steelies are going to need some spacers…at full tilt, they’re hitting the swaybar. Ugh.

I've installed those Summit Wheels in 17x9.0 ET-25 on stock Badlands tires LT285/70R17. Originally, I was going to use 315/70R17, but with this wheel fitment I guess it will cause some rubbing problems when I go offroad.
Plan to have another set with 18x9.0 ET0 with 35'' AT tires. Anyone has experience with it? Do I need to install 1'' or 1.5'' leveling kit to the front to get more room?

Sorry to hear but thanks for sharing as I was considering the same setup. I'll probably go aftermarket rather than the spacer route but it's a shame because I (strangely) like the gloss black of the steelies.

Just put the KMC Summit wheels on my SAS badlands. Still running the GY MTs until they die. Then probably upgrade to some Nitto RGs. Picked the +18mm offset so just a bit more poke than the SAS wheels but not noticable

before and after.

And yes the “gray tint” is more visible in the box and in certain light.

Tire shop scratched all 5 of my rings putting on
35 bfg km3. Got a free powdercoating of any color for that. Went with something close to the grill metallic carbon grey, looks great in the sunlight and when not covered in mud!

Just fyi for anyone with rings, either take them off yourself before or remind them to do it, discount tire was honest about damaging mine but i wouldnt trust every experience to be the same.

They look great! I just picked up some take off Sasquatch wheels for my non-SAS that is on a rail car and arrives next week and I’m thinking of powdercoating the rings just like you did.
