Did anyone get the official "order bank open" email from Ford yet? I haven't, wondering if I should call my dealer to place the order or wait until I get the email. If the system's glitchy right now, have no problem waiting another day or so.

nothing from Ford yet, but you can start the process. I waited last time, but with this one I want to make sure it gets picked up by Ford by 3/15 because thats a hard date cutoff for this.

Thanks. If I don't get an email today, I'll contact my dealer tomorrow to place the order. So excited!

If you are GT holder call ford right now. Mine is at msrp. The whole reason your dealer has this specific allocation is because of you and as a thank you for getting screwed over.
UPDATE: Just finished a call with Ford. I spoke to two different agents. Both told me the same. They said Ford has no control over dealer markups. They said they would let me register a complaint but unfortunately that won’t likely change things. The dealer is free to markup the vehicle to whatever price they like. (In my case an additional $20k) When I asked about transferring my reservation/order to another dealer they said transfers are now frozen on the raptor.

Can anyone that knows or understands more about how these things work offer me some advice? I want to fight this thing because it just isn’t right. I’ve had a reservation since day 1.

You are stuck, unfortunately. If the dealer is local to you, the best option is to go in and keep a calm and relaxed demeanor and see if they will make any concession on the Raptor.

I am in the same boat.. unfortunately, I do not think we have any recourse except to wait until they're more readily available.. I may be dead before that happens though. On the bright side, maybe the fender flares won't be so ugly by that time!

If they are not local to you, your task is much harder, as it is difficult to talk to anyone with authority.

Not really much you can do, other than negotiate the price with your dealership. Ford had already made it clear Raptor reservations could not be transferred and unfortunately regardless of what Ford's CEO says publicly, dealerships set the final sales price. Especially in this case when the dealership is being upfront with you about the $20K markup.

It's not like the dealership is say hey, we're adding adding on $20K to the price of your Raptor when you show up to pick it,.

Not the answer you want to hear but i would take it for a test drive right up that dealers ass and tell them to keep it. I can't believe the greed of some dealers. Over 90 k for it and taxes on top. No way but to each their own. Really sorry to hear they are doing this to you.

I mean if it were me and they refused MSRP I’d say you contacted ford and they told you MSRP for GT holders and you could move your reservation to a dealer that will honor that. Basically they’ll lose their allocation for your raptor and you’ll buy elsewhere.
What’s the worst thing that can happen if you fib a little. You’re either screwed or you stretch the truth to get what you want. If it doesn’t work well you’re right back where you started but at least you tried lol.

from my info .. you can't move your GT to another dealership. GT allocation are dealer specific and can not be moved.
