Saw one person in 1/10 got moved to built 3/1, so maybe they have started moving again.

Edit: Looks like one from 1/17 group got moved to shipped today too.

This
Well I had some family over for dinner and right after I sat down I got a call from an unknown number in Detroit. As many of you know I sent an email to several Ford Execs this week so I took the call. Well…it was Ford calling me! The person I spoke explained she represents the Ford Executive team and had read and shared my email in a meeting today. She said the focus of the meeting was specifically in the lack of communication to people on ice mountain. I spoke to her for at least 15 minutes and she explained that it is a chip shortage that caused the backup. She said the problem they are facing is a lack of skilled personnel that can install chips in the Broncos on Ice Mountain as well as weather issues. They are working hard to clear the backlog and they are aiming to get all of them out in under 90 days. I thanked her profusely for calling me and asked that they please send some sort of update. She said they are working on putting together some sort of weekly email whether it is individually or collectively is TBD at this point. I couldn’t believe I actually received a call and hope this helps you all sleep a little better tonight.
@Roofus @CMorales @Broncoder @BigBendBW @Pdshepherd @JerseyGirl in TX @Buttercup.the.bronco
This is awesome glad to have people like you and everyone else who sent emails out in this forum!

Meh...
I am impressed you and @Pdshepherd actually got Ford to call. Great job for that!
Still sounds like same old lip service to me. No one's installing "Chips" and there is not a shortage on whatever module took a dump on us all.
Ford doesn't even have my email just like @tx_chonco so weekly BS emails do me no good.
Ford sure has taken the fun out of this thing.
I'm never going to be the guy that said, " Oh the wait and runaround was so worth it!" I'm sure I'll love the vehicle if I can get through the dealer part, that's always an unknown. But never will I say that. I hope I eat those words, but I doubt it. ;)

that's awesome they called you. i hope they follow through with the weekly communication plan. i get it with the weather being a factor but that also confirms that they are not in climate controlled warehouses like some were told (we knew that wasn't true anyway). and i get the lack of skilled workers to install what's needed but they certainly have the money to contract out some extra skilled workers. i've seen some great ideas floating around the forum, like sending the modules in a static-proof bag placed inside the bronco and putting it on transport to the dealership and having the dealership's certified team install them. wonder how long the training takes to teach people to install the modules (and possibly airbags)...

I’m kind of thinking by the time these “weekly emails” come out, they are going to have a good chunk of the ice mountain bronco’s shipped… but I guess better late than never??

right? we're about a month and a half in from when we were supposed to be built. they keep saying "we plan to have them all done within 90 days" but when did that 90 days start? did it start on our build date, or did it start when we were first pushed out the 90 days, did it start when farley made the announcement, or is it going to start when they decide to send out a communication to us? i want to know when that 90 day clock started ticking so i can plan.

I was thinking the same thing. I work for a big company like Ford. Takes an act of God to make the machine move.

i went through the weekly spreadsheets and wanted to share some ice mountain stats:

  • week 1/3 is 92% delivered, only 5 broncos still stuck "in production" purgatory - so close!!!
  • week 1/10 is 20% delivered, and 35% still stuck "in production" purgatory
  • week 1/17 is 7% delivered, and 81% still stuck "in production" purgatory
  • week 1/24 is 20% delivered, and 57% still stuck "in production" purgatory
this data is only as good as the info on the spreadsheets, so try to keep your info updated. if you haven't gone to the spreadsheet in a while, please go make sure all your drop down boxes have something selected, especially in your "pizza tracker status" column. if the "pizza tracker status" column has a blank box, then our percentage for people still stuck "in production" is wrong (i'm sure it is because we have lots of blanks in that column).

also, reminder to update the massive ice mountain tracker if you've had any change in status

It looks like all the entries on the bottom of that sheet are incomplete, and they don't show up on the chart properly, so I'm not sure how accurate the model is.
