Some of the custom boxes for the rear tailgate seem to be perfect for a sub, pending you like the sound of shallow-mount subwoofers. I obviously haven't received my Bronco yet, but I do have 4" and 6.5's along with a kicker key 200.4 ready to go. I know a few places have released harnesses for the amp install, but I'm hoping Metra comes up with something before I get my Bronco so I dont have to splice into the factory harness.
I’ve seen a couple of people do that. I’ve also seen someone take the factory b&o box and put a shallow sub in it with slight modification. My problem is I already put my amp there for the speakers I went with a pretty decent 4 channel so it’s powering all the speakers. Just took the inputs from the front 4 and output to all 6. I know it kinda defeats the whole fader on my radio but I don’t see a situation where I’ll ever use it in my life anyway so not worried. The box will still fit with my amp there but then I’d have to either order that whole trim piece to have the speaker grille there or id have to start cutting and find some mesh and make one. I’m really going for maximum space in the back because I like to take trips and I have beer I gotta transport

Exactly, if that "90 days or sooner" was accurate then we'd expect a third of the mountain to have shipped. I haven't seen any evidence of a clearance rate anything like that. Its more like onesy-twosy unless others have seen something different in other build weeks?
I'm hoping the majority of Ice Mountain builds that are getting movement aren't on this forum. That's the only way I can keep hope alive!

I just replaced the speakers in mine and I can tell you it makes all the difference. I haven’t added my amp to really drive them all but it is night and day. I am trying to figure out a sub to add in without taking any space and there’s not really a good spot other than where the B&O sub technically goes. Not sure where to go from there lol. If you need any pointers or help with speakers I’m pretty sure I live like 5 seconds from you
Awesome. Which speakers did you go with? I agree on the B&O location. I feel like someone will eventually make an aftermarket panel/enclosure for that. My other thought was building a false floor and putting a slim sub in it along with slide out storage. A friend suggested I research door storage though if I do that because we might need that height if doors are going to be stored in the back.

5 seconds 😆 any chance you live in bridgemill?

Ford sent me a survey after my dealer conversation… oh boy lol. Here is what I put in the comment field :

So my bad experience is really not fair for the dealer. They are subject to the way Ford itself has handled this Bronco release and production. My bronco was made in late January and since then has been held for a “chip hold”. Yet the production line has since restarted and units are being shipped and even delivered after mine (and thousands others). Ford has apparently chosen to skip over our vehicles and do what likely is more cost effective and build just the assembly line. I completely understand the cost driven aspect of this path but it is greatly unfair to those of us who have waited 400 - 500 days for a vehicle to be delivered. This impacts many people in a personal manner as it serves for their primary method of transportation. Fords lack of transparency and silence has so many loyal customers frustrated and distraught. As many of our estimated delivery dates were pushed 90 days we are now 1/3 of the way through that time period and have seen little to no movement. The Bronco community is well organized and share data and we would clearly be able to observe if there was any progress. Please reach out to your customers and tell us the truth. Better yet expedite those who have been skipped over. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s a smart move for customer retention long term.

Well done sir! Well Written and informative. I have sent similar messages thru various methods including Social Media and have now resorted to calling them Buttholes and Cowards at this point.

That’s why I am not going to add anything in the rear I bought the bags and all that for a reason. I’m getting into the difficult areas of stuff now lol. I’m thinking of buying the b&o box and modifying it to fit a 8. Then take out the little cubby piece and make a mesh and put it in. My tackle this weekend is getting all the wiring done for the trailer hitch 7 pin I added. Then it’s game on for sub solution lol. Don’t mind the dirty bumper lol

Last night the hubs subjected me to Youtube videos of Lite Bright and their buddies taking their Broncos through Utah and breaking two of them. Few times I wanted to poop myself and I wasn't even the driver.

I just sent the following email. Unfortunately, the one for Jim Farley came back as undeliverable but the other two went thru it seems.... I included my VIN and order number as well. Maybe they will go out there and personally put some Tortilla chips in the trunk and load it on the train.

Ford Management Team,

I am writing to you in regards to my Bronco reservation. I, like so many others, reserved a Bronco on July 15 2020 shortly after the big reveal. My father had a 1st gen Bronco and a Bronco II when I was growing up and I have always wanted one. To say that this experience has been disappointing would be an understatement. I reserved a Bronco hoping to replace my wife's aging Explorer as our family vehicle in early 2021 when they were projected to start shipping out, but I am still waiting. I received a VIN Number and a build date in January 2022 and we were pumped. My build week was the week of 1/24 and my blend date was 1/28. My vehicle went into production on 2/1 and has had no movement since. I haven't received any updates, emails, explanations or calls as to the reason for the delay. Our dealer is Mullinax Ford in West Palm Beach and our sales rep, Derek, has been great but unfortunately like us he has very little information either. I am a member of the Bronco6G forum and our members have been the only resource to any information as to the possible reasons for the delays. My vehicle is sitting in the elements at "Ice Mountain '' while we wait, I have seen the pictures and videos of the Broncos sitting covered in snow. I was given an ETA of May 27th and now the tracker shows no ETA.

I also work in manufacturing and am all too familiar with the delays and issues currently. All I am asking for is some update, just an email giving us the reason for the delay and what the plan is to resolve the issue like you did with the recent hardtop situation. I am watching the forums as Broncos built after mine are being shipped and delivered. I am seeing people that walked into a dealership only several months ago and place an order to take delivery, including my neighbor who ordered 6 months ago as I continue to wait nearly 600 days now.

In summary, I ask that you please provide us with an update as this is not too much to ask...we deserve some explanation. Also, please take reservation dates into consideration as you prepare vehicles for shipment.

Wow that is good stuff. If I worked there I would go stop the line and start the chip installs after seeing our emails! Lol. Hopefully they at least have the decency to respond.

I've seen those videos! I can't seen how they do it. I like watching them but I cringe and get a little stressed when they get in those situations where I can only see nothing good coming out of it! I think BroncBuster is one of their friends and he smashes his Bronco on a side of a rock! Ugh! Painful.
