I’ve seen a couple of people do that. I’ve also seen someone take the factory b&o box and put a shallow sub in it with slight modification. My problem is I already put my amp there for the speakers I went with a pretty decent 4 channel so it’s powering all the speakers. Just took the inputs from the front 4 and output to all 6. I know it kinda defeats the whole fader on my radio but I don’t see a situation where I’ll ever use it in my life anyway so not worried. The box will still fit with my amp there but then I’d have to either order that whole trim piece to have the speaker grille there or id have to start cutting and find some mesh and make one. I’m really going for maximum space in the back because I like to take trips and I have beer I gotta transportSome of the custom boxes for the rear tailgate seem to be perfect for a sub, pending you like the sound of shallow-mount subwoofers. I obviously haven't received my Bronco yet, but I do have 4" and 6.5's along with a kicker key 200.4 ready to go. I know a few places have released harnesses for the amp install, but I'm hoping Metra comes up with something before I get my Bronco so I dont have to splice into the factory harness.
