Our goal is to have all updated in the next 90 days, pending chip availability.

Not loving the out they left for themselves with those last 3 words…
And the fact their goal is another 90 days……after they had already sat there for 35 days. So, 125 days in the lot, and another 20-30 on trains and train yards. That would be over 5 months from blend dates for some to get to their respective dealership.

Exactly! So frustrating.

Behind the scenes, our teams have been working on how to maximize production, with a continued commitment to building every high-demand vehicle for our customers with the quality they expect. Our goal is to have all updated in the next 90 days, pending chip availability.

The beginning of this article says "Ford decided to build the Broncos even though they didn't have the chips and put them in the lot".

Pardon my french, but this decision fucked us. If they would have pushed back/stopped production due to the shortage, most of us would have had our Bronco's by now.
As @ocbucks1 has said, Ford is very good at running the line, but if something gets pushed to the side, there is no efficiency anymore.
We got the short end of the stick from this decision and as the weather is turning to spring down here in Atlanta, I'm so damn ready to enjoy this Bronco.

Agree but seeing their side its probably is a reasonable decision. This way isn’t the best for us but it likely maximizes total production. The investment of resources in the production line is massive. If they slow that frankly their margins are gone. At least they gave us the 90 day plan from the start. Not good news but appears it was the plan they are staying with. We certainly were not lucky but I heard other worse situations.

Also it is a real complex issue allocating the chips. As mentioned before it’s not like they run out of chips on the blend date. They have decide weeks before final assembly when the module controls are made where to install chips. The fact they seem to have directed a shortage to a particular low critical module is interesting to me.

The item I would love to know is why the plan is 300 per week? Why not 600 or 1000 per week. Seems it’s labor constraints but maybe modules? This is the part I was disappointed in. They can build 2000 broncos per week but only retrofit 300 with a short install???

Yeah my thoughts exactly! But we do know they have them to some degree because, afterall, EVERYONE AFTER US IS BEING BUILT!!!

But that would mean that get get the leftovers in a way.

Delivery date just got pushed again. 2/28 to 3/3 now to 3/7 🙄. I was really getting excited to get it this week. I’m honestly about to just buy one for over msrp if they just want to keep pushing it out and not move it from Illinois.

Just had to fix my thermostat and housing unit in my wrangler today for $700.

I have a 17 year old dog ... Who I would like to take on a couple of adventures in my bronco . Sometimes I'm afraid I'll get my bronco after he passes and that really pisses me off. He is doing good but he is old and you can tell... Damn it Ford you good for nothing SOB
I hear ya brother. My 16 year old golden retriever passed in November. I wish I could say I was just frustrated that I couldn't take him around with the top off my bronco at least once. I made the decision to take my reservation from a 2021 to 2022. Kicking myself now.

Went to the dealer to pick up a part for a buddy's raptor over the weekend and there was a dealer demo Bronco. He asked me why our Bronco is taking forever. Lol couldn't give him a good reason.

My EDD in the pizza tracker is gone. Maybe the new strategy is to keep us completely in the dark.
I was just going to say the same thing. Mine also just disappeared- totally gone... I wonder why
