Light up the driver area!

Hello, everyone

I'm planning to make a light above the gas pedal to illuminate the main driver floor area, but I'm debating whether to design just one light to illuminate, or a light + cover to cover the ugly wiring harness and parts!

Please give me some advice and let me know if it's necessary to add a cover plate, or just the lights?

Also I want to know should I design the license plate bracket on the left or right?

The cover is there to hide the parts and wiring harness from the original car, I wonder if it's necessary to cover those

If its that way from the factory, I would leave it.
