I deal with product launches a lot, and we've dealt with similar things due to shortages. My team and I however handle it appropriately and will be as transparent as possible. Ford is such an outdated company filled with employees who have been there for who knows how long. It's a problem that the execs probably think is smaller than it is because the team is reporting sugar coated problems.

I literally said the exact same thing on another forum. Some guy came at me sideways saying "they don't have enough man power" You're kidding me, right? Our sister company is a five person operation that deals with this kinda stuff daily. They can handle communications with the snap of a finger to the same amount of customers. It's a matter of wanting to handle it.

😂😂😂. Yep. We’ve unaffectionately dubbed it ice mountain. When no information is given people fill in the blanks with their own stuff. If Ford wants to control the narrative they should be communicating. 🤪
We should all be ashamed of ourselves for the shaming of Willow Run. :ROFLMAO:

You are person of exquisite taste. It is almost surreal that it is actually sitting in the driveway. I keep going back out to make sure it is still there.
I bet you do. 🤣. I will do the same thing too. They are like unicorns around here. However we are seeing more and more on the roads.

Yeah,

There is literally no excuse. It just shows, that they are losing so much money just because they haven't updated their infrustructure. Just shows when complacent companies refuse to move forward with marketing, customer service and overall communications.

Well, my frustration is getting the better of me. Almost 600 days since my reservation and 375 days since I placed my original order for a 2021, and I'm no better off now than I was then. Rather than completely abandon my order, however, I have begun perusing dealer websites to see if I can get something close to my order on a dealer lot. I'm willing to forego the manual and my first color choice (velocity blue), but I'm sticking to either a Badlands Sasquatch or a Wildtrak. I've made about a half dozen inquires to dealers within a 200 mile radius. If one of these dealers has a rig on their lot and comes through at msrp, I'll go that route (worth a shot). The next step will be to order a Tesla and see which comes first.

By the way, I am still amazed that dealers are continuing to look for nearly $100k for a First Edition. I can understand a premium, but $35-40k?

That is bonkers. Is yours in production at the moment? Or have you even gotten that far?

My original build week was supposed to be 12/20. That's been pushed four times. I finally went in production on 1/28. Right now they've pushed by EDD back to 6/3. Frankly, I'm not confident in that date either. Depending on which model Tesla I order, I'm looking at a delivery date between May and July.

What terrible luck. I am so sorry.

What's wild is that if your build date got pushed back one more time, you could very well have it right now.

My truck has been at the Lawrenceville shipping yard (about 15 min from dealer) since yesterday ... contact said not sure how fast they are unloading trucks. Do they work Saturdays. Really ready for truck since I already sold my other car.

Just a heads up for the peeps that are sitting at the rail yard closest to their dealer waiting on a truck.

Mine has been there for 8 days. Literally 10 miles from my dealer.

Dealer told me that I should not expect it “anytime soon”. What ever that means. I called him the morning it was unloaded off the train last week.

He also told me he had seen them sit there for weeks and some for over a month waiting to be delivered.
