When did you place the bases
@Broncoder seriously though: if you pick the “right” dealer with the “right” options and get your order in now, I think there’s some chance it gets scheduled next week. I think the next round of scheduling is for April builds. All depends on if the dealer you pick has extra allocation OR all of their reservations are constrained and unable to be built. Last I read, last round of scheduling seemed to limit to mostly 2.3 builds. Sasquatch might hold you up, but I was scheduled the second week of scheduling after placing my basesquatch order, meanwhile my buddy at the same dealer with reservation is still waiting to be scheduled for a badlands (both 2.7, both soft tops, neither with ppf or tow) 🤷
when did you place the Basesquatch order?

I had thought if you order now you'd be in back of the line - that's to say you wouldn't get it until 2023?
You’d be at the back of the line for your dealer but it’s not that simple. The way I understand it, dealer has X allocation prr month. Say that’s 10. Say the dealer has 20 reservations unbuilt, but most of these have some constraint. Say for example they are all 2.7 and Ford decides they can only build 20% of the 2.7 that month. It may be that the dealer is only going to get 5 of their reservations scheduled. The other 5 allocations they have can be filled with newer orders, or go to waste. That’s a simplification, and I don’t work for ford, but I’ve read a lot on this forum and have experienced getting scheduled quick as a walk in at a dealer with a backlog of reservations.

Ah ok got it. So you would want a dealer who has 1) a large block of allocations and 2) hope some of those have not been filled .... do I have that correct?

when did you place the Basesquatch order?
Dealer submitted it October 28th. I was scheduled 11/18 for 1/17 then bumped to 1/24. Extremely lucky. Expected to wait until this winter.

I do believe the mic was more of a hold up back then than it is now, meaning it might not be as easy to pick a build that is less constrained than most reservations anymore 🤷

I think you’d want a dealer with decent allocation with fewer reservations, or where a lot of their existing orders/reservations have a common constraint that you don’t have. Not suggesting you get something you don’t really want, but if I were at a point where I needed a bronco asap, my compromise would be a 4 door soft top base Sasquatch with a 2.3. Still might have too many constraints, but i assume that’s the simplest build I’d be happy with I think?

That's a pretty good explanation,
I was like 17th in line at my dealer but jumped them and got scheduled first because the constraints didn't affect me. Would of been awesome to have gotten 1/31 though haha. JK 1/24 for life!

The dealership I am with now did not participate in the reservation process. Small dealership. Only about 8 Bronco allocations for the year. Appx 2 per quarter is what I understood but they did say it could change. However, I was the first to order one there. Got pulled for a build within 2wks. Currently on Ice Mountain.

The order that my reservation was tied to was at a larger dealership. Still has no VIN. It will be MY23 before it is built I would assume.

Point being is basically the same as what others have said, it’s all about allocation and dealership orders. From my experience the reservation didn’t mean very much. If you find a dealership with few orders and some allocation spots open, you can get pulled fairly quickly no matter the build.

Also, I’m still “In Production” on the tracker. 1/25 blend. 5/28 EDD. No change since the EDD move a couple of weeks back.

Someone recommended trying to find a dealership that sells a lot of vans and work trucks but few passenger vehicles and maybe no showroom. I haven’t been able to find one like this, but makes some sense to me

I’m hoping it heads out today and gets to the drop zone by like Monday. It really will more depend on the trucking industry and which way the wind blows once it gets there. I’m hoping we can just go get it from the yard. They’re not too keen on it but they’ll let him do it occasionally so if we can pull that off we I may just have my bronco next week!
Cool. Hope they let him do it for you.

Akins gets a lot of cars so I hope it will not take long. They had 60 cars last week on trucks when I was there.

I keep saying I won't check but I can't help myself lol
It is so hard not to constantly check. Especially with the hack to make the call easier lol.

Ya, I’m one of the remaining 1/28’s also. Really thinking about placing another order. Maybe change to a Basesquatch and just wait.
My dealer is now charging ADM on new orders. $5k for non sas 10k for sas…I’m stuck waiting
