Nope, I made the mistake of pulling the tag off of my truck and transferring to my Bronco. What I didn't know, is I had to wait on the dealer to submit the transfer to the DMV before they would issue me a new tag for my truck. So I'm running around tagless in the truck, but I did just receive the registration for the Bronco. So I'll get a tag this week for the truck.

"Tagless in the truck." Is that like Sleepless in Seattle?

After picking up Steamboat today, next stop, the Twighlight Zone or DMV if they're not one and the same. CA dealers issue these temporary black & white paper plates. I stripped the personalized plates off my old car; hoping I can make the transfer online with a form I downloaded.

Has anyone that registered for Bronco off-rodeo had issues with actually signing up for a session? I cant get the site to DO anything and I’ve been verified for a long time just

Yes it does. I went to the tag office right after we picked up the Bronco and was told "I can't give you a tag honey, they got 28 days to turn in the paperwork to the dmv." To which I replied, awesome, I've made a mistake, guess I'll live with the consequences.

… the one time in life I’m glad I live in Pennsylvania… dealer slaps tags on, they tape a little piece of paper on your rear window and off you go! Everything else is done via mail and interweb. Hmmmm… imagine that PA making something fairly easy… who knew

The dealer did the paper tags and ordered the real plates and I received those in the mail.
Alvin ordered specialty plates a year ago and had to go to the DMV or TxDOT I think we call them here, and surrender the generic plats and get a new registration sticker for the front window.

For @California_Drivers, all I have to do is add the Dealer's paper license # to the form I downloaded weeks ago, in between checking trackers , pay $53 to maintain personalized letters + Yosemite Environmental Plates and Bob's your uncle.

Our dealer said they would have taken care of everything if we were bringing our old car as a trade in, but as it was, I sold it to our mechanic yesterday.

This will be what happens to me too. The dealer will gladly get me the generic plate, but the Bronco deserves a specialty plate. DMV in Delaware has made things slightly easier online lately so hoping this will be the same, but I am doubtful.

I ordered a specialty plate a couple of days before my horse showed up, so I just put the one from the trade in on till it gets here. I got an email saying it had been approved should be here next week. Then yesterday I learned the State of Tennessee stop making plates, they designed a new one to roll out this year and it seems that license plate reader cameras can't read them, so they stopped production till they can figure out a solution. I'm sure mine was not made yet, so it probably got put on hold. Everything about this Bronco makes you wait.
