Well today was fun...not. I mean I guess I can't complain because I know it's on the way but I just won't get to see it for a month. Today was my delivery. Got everything set at dealership. The tracker said it was dispatched and on the way (reminder I'm about 15 mins from MAP). Got insurance on the Bronco today. Everything was set. Dealership said they had 2 truck deliveries today. Guess what. Mine didn't show up. I fly out back tomorrow to work (Texas), and won't be home until March. So I guess the wife gets to pick up Harry and drive him first lol

I was wondering that same thing, seems like a much easier solution to me.
Yeah either option works. I don’t know why Ford doesn’t just make them an inch shorter from the factory. But I have seen people chop them and it works fine

How did you find out the next stop was Illinois? I called CSX and the last stop like you was Indiana on 2/13. Yours is going to AZ and mine is coming to CA.
Here is the route "Steamboat" took from the MAP in Wayne to CA. From Keddie, it seems they go to Benicia, Richmond or Milpitas. If you want the list of cities, represented by the white circles, I can PM you. Believe me, it took some work to aurally dissect them out from the synthesized voice. Siri she ain't.

I have the same question. When I check mine it makes it seem like it’s final destination is Indiana. But it has to come to Texas so I’m not sure how you track it once it leaves Indiana

When I called CSX, the message said the last stop and then said the next stop. It was hard to understand so I had to have the system replay the message. They are probably on the train together.

I think ours will be on the same train out to AZ. The current destination for mine is Blue Island on 2/16 at 7:00pm.

Ah! I couldn't understand the Blue Island. What was your EDD?

I live in Glendale but it will be delivered to Kingman since we have a close friend who works there. They said my EDD is 2/26-3/4 when I called CSX.

My EDD is 3/2 and it's being delivered to Casa Grande. You've got a bit of a drive to pick yours up!

Weird, when I call it doesn't tell me the next stop. Just says last known location. Do you use Location or Weight option?

And the EDD moved back another four days. Now 2/21/22. I think it would be better if they’d just say May and then I’ll be surprised one random day. Ford sure knows how to suck the fun out of this process.

***sorry guys I posted the below in the wrong place…meant to post on this thread for the hive mind answers

Hey guys thought I’d ask on here for a quicker response.

I installed these paracord grab handles by utilizing the 8mm bolts. I like them a lot.

But the install raised 2 questions:

First (dumb) question: what are the 8mm bolts all along the top for?

Second question:

Should my tool kit have come with an 8mm socket? It didn’t have one. Left side of tool kit was “empty”.

This is a guess but I believe the bolts are there to retain the trim when the side curtain airbag fires.
