Hey J.J.,

Thanks for writing this! Its good to have this group for support, comraderie, experianced tips and tricks.

Your new Bronco and you look fabulous together. Great pics!
Most people have covered a lot of things so far. My initial impressions are: I dont mind that the temperature doesnt display in the dial anymore...its a smaller deal than I imagined. The wind noise (in the hard top) is not very bad, though may take some getting used to. The sport mode is peppy as FFCK - I love it! Ambient lighting was turned off by default. Braking is perfect (I saw a few people did not like it). Presence is unworldly...I feel like im looking at my computer screen every time I like at it IRL because of the months on anguish lol.
Once the weather gets a little warmer here in OH I hope to start spending more time in it with FORSCAN etc.
Worth the wait is an extreme understatement!

So my husband, in a rare fit of enthusiasm for our Bronco-to-be, insisted we drive down to the rail yard to try to spot our rig. Armed with early reconnaissance from Google Earth, some high power binoculars, and a big telephoto lens, we cruised down near San Jose. After we got kicked out of the approach alley by a nasty, piggy-eyed, hulk of a UP gooness, we drove around the permitter, searching.

Man, it was hot! We saw lots of Chevy's, GMCs, Nissans, and a few Fords but no bright speck of green that might have been our "Steamboat." Of note, there were 100 or so Teslas being actively loaded and leaving the lot on big white convoy trucks that said "Tesla, Inc" on their doors! Leave it to Mr. SpaceX Musk to make it happen. We never did find our baby--hopefully s/he got loaded before baking too much longer in the hot sun.

So with nods to Cat and Jimmy Buffet:

Wasted Away....

Obsessed with the trackers
Like Soviet hackers
We’re checking our VIN about ten times a day
They get up our hopes, then
They jerk us around when
Each time that we look there’s another delay!

Wasted away again in rail yard limbo-ville
Searchin’ for ED’s that won’t tun out wrong
Some people claim the pandemic’s to blame
But we know
It’s been Ford all along.

The angst is contagious.
And this is outrageous!
It's the worst cluster-shuck that we’ve ever seen.
A shortage of truckers?
Those lame mother$#!ers!
If Elon can do it, why can’t Mike Levine?

Wasted away again in rail yard limbo-ville
Searchin’ for why all’s ground to a halt
Some people claim that FoMoCo's to blame
While our babes
Bake out on the asphalt.

That's awesome!! Keep the song parodies coming!!

I took my bronco apart today and fixed the window drop and sub rattle. I used Noico 80mil sound deadening and felt tape.

Several members posted instructions for the cargo trim removal and window drop adjustment. I’m am very happy with both results. Doors open without any window grab and there is no sub rattle. It also drastically reduced any ticking or clicking while driving.

The first window took about 30 minutes. Mainly to get a feel for the process. The second window I corrected in about 5 minutes. The key I found was just loosen enough to where it will move but hold once moved. Very small adjustments.

The passenger rear was catching pretty bad but the rear edge was 3-4mm higher than the front edge and that caused it to catch when opening.

Welp… my bronco will allegedly be here Wednesday. As of Friday it was back in Detroit though. Apparently it has been escalated to another bronco team and should be “fast tracked” to get here.
they were so confident they took my trade. I wasn’t driving it so not a huge deal but I made clear if this bronco isn’t here next week and they took my car we will have big problems.
I did get them to agree to give me a loaner if I need as back up.
We shall see.

Want a full recap. Going next weekend
Back home now.. will do a full report when I can with pictures and maybe a movie.

It was an amazing experience. The wife enjoyed being a passenger but had no interested in off road, oh well.
As a long time off road enthusiast, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised though.
The facility was top notch.
The instructors were awesome and very good at what they do.
We had plenty of outdoor classroom instruction then a full day of practical useful instruction.
Each family had their own bronco for the day.
I am truly impressed how much effort Ford has put into the technology of these trucks.
There was no way on God's Green Earth would I have done any of that stuff in my own Bronco or without instruction.
I can honestly say that every Bronco Owner needs to go to this class.

Cat, yall will love it.
I am sure you will have your Bronco by then, but if not, there is no need to have it.
They provide everything, and I was much happier doing crazy stuff in their Bronco than mine.
We guesstimated only about 1/3 of the participants have taken delivery.
My favorite thing is the Off Road Cruise Control.

Yes. That is the main one. They also had us use Manual Mode on the gear shift and 1. This was called engine compression braking.

Has anyone found a seatbelt/ harness for their pups? Our current set up is just back seats down and windows open. We’ve never had an issue but I think I’ll need some type of harness when we have the top down.

has anyone thought about this?
