Have any other Canadians been able to track theirs? I used to be able to until a couple days ago (using the pizza tracker link above). Now I get sent to the Canadian site, but when I enter my order number and VIN, I just keep getting an error message.

This entire process has been so frustrating lol

There's some very valuable information in this post.

Basically it explains how they aren't plugging in 'microchips' per se, directly into our Broncos but instead the modules that contain the microchips. These modules aren't built at MAP, so most likely we are waiting on whatever modules were affected by the bad or non-existent microchips. Then if applicable, plugging in those modules.

Im assuming they’d need to bring our vehicles back inside to properly install these?

Sitting at a Ford dealer right now working numbers on a 2012 Fusion because I need something between now and May since my SVTF is annoying to daily drive. 🙄

Mine is doing exactly the same as what you are getting. The Canadian site worked one right at the beginning but has been error messages every day since.

Thank you. At least I know I’m not the only one.

Not necessarily. I would think it depends on what module. I replaced the ignition control module on my A4 years ago in a couple minutes, easily accessible from top of engine bay with hood open

Makes sense, although it seems like the entire batch of chips was bad? Or maybe just one specific module (hopefully)

I don’t think we know, and the one suggestion that every microchip in every bronco was bad seems just plain wrong. The microchips are tiny components, precision soldered with robots onto a circuit board inside a particular module/component, produced by different vendors. My gut says there may be shortages across the board for different modules/components, but likely one particular module was found defective, and given the shutdown of 8 different plants, seems like a common component and large batch that’s bad or in short supply. What bothers me about timing is if it truly is a last minute QC find, vendor needs to build new modules, which might mean they need new circuits, which might mean they need new microchips, which all takes time. i.e., long lead time 😭

Of course this is all speculation and worry over things we cannot control. Just gotta make the best decisions we can with the information we have. Buy something else? Wait a couple weeks for more info?Place another order? Find another hobby? All depends on your situation. For me, the bronco is not a necessity right now, but I had exciting plans for the summer that may have to change so I’m looking at options with that timeframe in mind (what can I do cheaply to increase my chances of having one by mid June).

I don't give a shit about little things like the temp display on my knobs. It'd be cool if we could see what features would be missing from the current shortage.

Part of the reason I went with a BB 7MT no mid package is because I don’t want any extra electronics to tell me how to drive my rig, lol.
