This situation pisses me off way more than it should. I think it’s like anything that goes on long enough it wears on a person. If we didn’t need a car it would be different. 😔
That’s sucks, I’m just upgrading toys so I’ve been trying not to think much about it. I can only imagine waiting nearly 2 yrs for something you need, and no insight into how long your temporary solutions need to last.

I feel like most other purchases this large would have more transparency, seems many dealers have normalized this situation in their head. However, it still has a big impact on people like yourself and shouldn’t be normalized. I wonder if all this will cause any changes changes to supply chains and build logistics, I’m doubtful haha.

I had a 1-26 blend date number 328 I think. People behind me already have delivery date and mine still shows in production
WTH!?
what’s the tear tag and what does it mean?
It’s one of the things that populates when you search your modules to see if your bronco brain is ā€œaliveā€.
Modules pop first then people get a tear tag which is another baby step toward progress. We’re all counting the little wins!!!

Thanks for feeling my pain instead of shitting on my frustration like some do. I can only afford to buy once so I keep waiting and sharing car with wife. That is ok sometimes but it’s getting real long in the tooth. I agree for such a large purchase they should be more helpful and give real-time info. It’s like a lot of things now. You can get no action by escalation it’s as if no one gives a shit how they are perceived. Thank goodness for this site to vent and lean on each other.

I guess this is why apple made a supply logistics head their CEO. Tim Cook killed it during COVID.

Yeah I would bet for most of us this is the largest purchase we’ve ever made outside of a house. I get more support and insight buying dog food though. Something here isn’t right.

Edit: sorry the Tim Cook comment wasn’t intended here, thought I deleted that comment.

Just a little RANT! I'm #7741 in rotation and my luck the plant will close due to weather after building 7740. I reserved on 7/15/2020, 566 days ago. There are now three Broncos in my neighborhood as of today. I spoke to the woman driving one today and she owns two of the three. She ordered them 6 months ago and got one a month ago and one over the weekend. A WildTrak and a SAS Badlands both with soft tops. The other in the neighborhood is the exact same build I have minus MIC. After reviewing the spreadsheet I see so many similar builds with MIC and other constraints I don' t have scheduled and even built before mine with reservation dates in 2021 etc.. Ford has completely abandoned all common sense during this process and reservation dates mean absolutely NOTHING! Ugh... This has been the longest year and a half and I just want my F**king Bronco!!!!

Rant complete.

I love that we can share our frustrations here but stay friendly and positive. Seems we have line managers and PMs in this thread, but maybe we could use some counselors too šŸ˜†

Thanks for sharing Brad. I imagine people working the line are as tired as us, I try and always supplement frustration with a small dose of empathy.

I'm not ranting about the delays. I am a regional manager for a manufacturer myself and am literally getting yelled at 8 hours a day over delays. I know them all too well. I am ranting about the fact that people that walked into a dealership 6 mos. ago are driving in a Bronco while I have been waiting 566 days...big difference. Anyway...I appreciate the support and feedback.

Just dropped in at the lot to mess around inside an actual Bronco. Most the staff and dealers there looked defeated. Only one of them actually talked to me. Possible they are starting to normalize it but looked bummed out to me. :(

Yeah I’m seeing that here too, my understanding is that different dealers have different priorities so the dealer may matter more than the build specs.

But honestly I have no clue, and I can’t affect anything anyway. For me this is where religion comes into play šŸ˜‚
