We had that same discussion--married 32 years, 10 mos, 1 week, but who's counting? The fact is, I am a better driver wrt judgment, mechanical skills, and reading social cues from other drivers. (Like probably 80% of Silicon Valley geniuses, my husband might be a tad of the way onto the autism spectrum. I tell him he is DWA--driving while Asperger's.) He has more confidence and a better sense of direction around unfamiliar cities, even given GPS.

We resolved it by saying that, since we'll be driving to the dealer's an hour away in hubby's car, he will drive the Bronco out of that city, 30 minutes up the California Coast to a resort area, where we will switch cars, and I will drive "Steamboat" rest of the way home.

I got an invalid VIN error last night but that went away and now I can't get it to do anything. Anyone else having issues with this awesome tracking tool?
I told my wife I need to be Ford's CTO to get all their technological bullshit in order. This is PAINFUL!!!!

Well technically it's my truck, replacing my '95 Mustang w/ 250K mi for my work on a ranch, where he doesn't want me driving his Honda. But he was resistant to the idea--wanted to wait for an electric car, offered me a Mach-E--so to get buy-in, I had to settle for the no-frills model in his choice of color and catch myself every time I say "my" car. Gotta remember to use the collective"our."

My experience is things just run like molasses in a dealership. It always takes a long time even with stuff done. Mine took time due to x-plan and financed through them. If you come in with a check then probably faster. Their experience may vary.

Well now the tracker says the obvious that an EDD of 2/1 was never going to happen since my baby is still at MAP. Delivery date just updated to 2/10 (which also seems unlikely)

My patch finally arrived yesterday (our mail delivery is horrid) and found a use for the carpet in the MGV trucks.

I was told they would tell you would have a note on your order if it was held for a chip. Does yours say that if your dealer looks or you call ford?

OTOH, one selling point was being able to go fearlessly all over Death Valley, which we love to do. Last time we did it in his Honda, I was constantly worried about getting stuck in the Panamints with only a 6-pak of beer and a useless AAA card. He loves the desert; I think that did it.
