Ford rates wil not be close to the best. Shop around for rates. If you have a bank you use, call and speak to them on the phone. Join a local credit union, they have excellent rates. Ford will be 2-3 points higher than the best you will find.

When you say "shop around", that's gonna entail each lender running my credit though, right? Or you are saying I can get their rates without that?

You can do like Lending Tree, they use your information and get you offers. So it's like 5 companies and it's only one hit on credit.

Most post their rates. If you inquire via email or phone you might be able to get a better range w/o a credit hit. Some can do a soft hit to get you a quote w/o it hitting your credit. Credit reports take into account “shopping” before a major purchase so multiple hits close to each other should not be that negative. My best advise, get you credit score and report from one of the majors so you know that info before applying.

Carvana gave us 30% over KBB for my wife's 2016 Yaris, so planning on 20% down for the truck, should have everything squared away on my end by Friday.
