Does anybody know how to recalibrate a door window? When fully closed, the driver side door window is about 1/4" low compared to the passenger door window. The gap causes air to whistle in the cab when I'm driving.

My service department is 3 weeks out for their guy to recalibrate...

* Note the black thing in front of the glass is my key fob so my phone camera would focus on the edge.

Driver side door window with 1/4" gap below molding.

Passenger window tucks up under the molding.

try closing the window fully manually, then hold the auto-up position for 5 seconds. Then put the window down, and repeat for the auto-down position for 5 seconds. usually works on most cars that have this feature

Roll the window down and hold the button down for 5 additional seconds. Roll it back up and hold the button in the up position for 5 additional seconds. This should reset the window to factory.

If hotdogthud’s method doesn’t work go into your manual and look up bounce back override. Give that a shot as well.

I tried this - it didn't fix the problem.

Bounce back override is what Hotdog is recommending.

Lol - I agree that it's a setting (not with selling...lol)

Maybe it's a FORscan adjustment? Just kinda sucks that I have to wait 3 weeks for a tech to recalibrate...

I can't imagine you'd need to do that, I'd maybe peruse the Ranger forums since it's the same ECU and mostly same electronics, in theory

This is basically the Bounce Back Override reset described above - it doesn't fix the problem.

Is it the same gap across the window? Has it always been this way? Does it go down when opening door and up when closing door at all?

There is a procedure in the shop manual to adjust the windows on the rail manually. It is very involved.

Do either of you guys know where I could view the Bronco Shop Manual?

The gap has been this way since I purchased the Bronco - there is basically a 1/4" gap difference on the driver side compared to the fully closed position of the glass on the passenger side.

I think it was incorrectly set during production because of a mashed rubber filler that was installed in the wing area. The rubber filler folded over onto itself and basically stopped the glass from going all the way up. My dealer replaced the mashed rubber filler piece under warranty, but I guess didn't notice that the glass was not going all the way up.

Thanks Ksjrb03! This appears to be the fix, but like you indicated, it is a bit involved. Maybe 3 weeks isn't such a long wait...
