“Work the system” ?? That’s hilarious. What part of playing by the very rules Ford laid out is “working the system”?? JFC. You were right with your first statement. Ford broke a lot of promises.

Why is it that the three or four dealerships that jumped at the opportunity to offer transparency, communication, and a competitive price to this community is castigated by so many on this forum? Many, including Zach and the @Granger Ford team made contributions to help every member here. Responding to questions for some that had shit dealers. Not once saying “You’re not with Granger, ask your dealer”

Even after all the ADM bullshit we’ve seen some of you still don’t get it.
Granger holds less than .1% of all the reservation holders, and many of them look to be later relative to say July 2020.
So why all the fuss? Most all of the reservation holders are already feeling like they got screwed. Not because of their choice of dealer since 99.9% reserved with other dealers. Ford cannot build what they don't have parts for and it's not like all the Granger reservations were the first ones.
I think everyone is in the same kinda boat. One with holes in it.

I've seen those old Bronco's on the trails. They do really well.
Most of the 363k miles were not on pavement. She's had a hard life, but never let me down.

You ordered on 7/9/21 and you're fed up? There are some people -like me, for example - who ordered first day, had their Bronco built around the time you ordered, and still haven't taken delivery.
That is horrible. I would probably have given up. Kudos to you for hanging in there so long.

I look at it like this... I have a lot of time invested in this vehicle. I don't want to get a Ranger or a Jeep. I want what I want. This is my redneck mid-life mobile.

Frustrated? Absolutely. Moving on? Not for a while yet.

The Bronco I cancelled in September has been built. Great communication Ford! :ROFLMAO: It should be here mid January.
I decided to move on from this mess and bought a truck. I emailed my dealer and told them I was no longer in the market for a Bronco and to feel free to do with my order as they deemed, no hard feelings, just lost my enthusiasm, was not blown away by the Bronco's I have seen in person and the end was not known for my build. They replied that they would cancel my order. I just checked ford.com under reservations and sure enough it was cancelled the same day of the email. I was kind of surprised they didn't change it to a build that they could get quick and sell.

Sorry buddy, but this response makes absolutely zero sense given my response to your original statement that Granger “worked the system” and are “either ignorant or incompetent.”

It’s tough to defend completely false statements. So you didn’t.

I will probably get a lot of hate for this, but I think you have only yourself to be mad at. You selected the most popular dealership on this forum, one that was clearly taking orders well over what they would be able to fill with allocation, and now you want to lash out.

Yes, moving dealerships would put you at the end of the line. But if that line is 100, instead of the 700s you are in now, that sounds like a win.

There is a lot you can do to protect yourself from the bait and switch horror stories before you make the switch.

Posting here about the injustice of it all isn't helping anything though.

You're off a bit. Granger got around 1,200 orders out of something like 120,000 reservations converted to orders (based on info on this forum) so about 1%. Considering there are over 3,000 Ford dealers this is a huge success. Granger (and Stephens and others) played Ford's game by their rules then had the rug yanked from under them. The fact is that Ford will likely make enough Broncos in 2022 to satisfy reservations but is choosing not to do that and instead will build stock for the mega dealers

Not true. Granger would have been able to fill all orders under the initial rules and probably even under the revised 2021 allocation rules. When Ford dramatically changed the rules for 2022 it really hurt Granger's customers.

There is no incentive for the dealer to keep the order. They will get Broncos based on allocations not orders. Keeping the reservation only means that they can't name match the Bronco that came in so they get dinged.

majority of dealers are fine I believe - yesterday I talked w a dealer here who never charges ADM - even abandoned orders they still sell @ MSRP

sure hope Ford can ramp production early '22 - only way out of the huge hole they've dug for most of us

grapevine says MAP started '22 builds yesterday

When most of us signed up at FORD.com (not at the dealerships website) for our Bronco, we didnt even know what an allocation was. No hate, but where did we go wrong? Ford promised reservations in order of timestamp and later changed that under pressure from the big dealers that lost out on sales after they ignored customers requests for information and pricing.
