Didn't the lead designer say that you can take the Bronco apart with a wrench in an hour? I'm paraphrasing and I know that he was being hyperbolic, but it seems like a stretch to imagine that it's going to be more than a 20 minute job to yank the seats.
I don’t think anybody thinks they can’t be taken out with tools.

Yes, the question was ease of removal. 20 minutes versus 1 min sucks.

Wait! Is that as far down as the back seats go in the 2 door? I can’t get my dog box in there at all! I seriously won’t buy this truck if I can’t get my dog in it.
no, they are not folded down correctly.

Ford Bronco 2 door rear seats NOT removable 1596320474418

Correctly fold rear seat on the far side, it is flat but not level with the floor. 4" step.

Your pic is of the 4 door, which has a different folding mechanism with the hinged struts on the seat bottoms.

The 2 door was improperly folded by that one guy in D.C., but it still won't fold as good as the 4 door.

Either way, both the 2 and 4 door models create a non coplanar cargo floor.

Ok cool, thanks for correcting me quickly guys, I gets the particulars confused because there are too damn many threads in here and I can't keep on all the changes because some of the explanations are pages apart. (y) (y)

that's the 4-door pictured....2-door is TOTALLY different design

If I can pull rear seat out of a 2 door 2002 SVT Focus in 20min Im sure this wont be much different. It's gonna be ok guys. Way too many people getting spun up about minor things way before they start production.

But but, that is the best time to give them feedback, BEFORE production. That is, if they care about said feedback...

It honestly can’t be that hard to have quick disconnect seats like Suburban and Tahoe 3rd row?

I'm sure they care.... but I will also bet there isn't a thing they can do. I'm certain all hard points are locked.

Definitely locked! What they're interested in is feedback for the 2nd or 3rd year model so they can figure out how to empty our wallets again to 'upgrade' ?

I don't need 2-minute removal because they'll be out till I sell the vehicle.

Ford needs to spill the beans; I won't buy a Pig in a Poke. They have cameras up in HQ...take some pix & let the folks who are contemplating writing you a $50K check know what they're buying.

Definitely if I go the 2 door route, there will be times I want the back seats removed. Either to haul things or when going on a vacation with just my spouse and needing camp and lots of other gear in the back. I was always taking the rear seat of my CJs in and out, so I know I'll want to do same with the Bronco. I have lots of tools, and so can likely take the rear seats out the old fashioned way. But making easier would be nice.

Nobody is saying they want a 2 seat vehicle. We want the freedom to remove the seats. Not sure what's confusing about this. But as others have said... they went in, they'll come out. For many 2-dooor owners, there are much more useful things to do with that space. Even folding the seats doesn't make them vanish. They take up a ton of space considering the very limited cargo area. This is exactly why people are surprised/disappointed that they seemingly didn't give this decision much thought.

It's an issue that we'll all have to solve and we will, but it would have been nice if Ford had put some thought into this beforehand.
Now you’ve got me thinking about waiting for the pickup version! I wish they’d do an EB style half Cab with small bed. Damn it!

Yeah, turning a wrench isn’t a sign of manhood. Of course they can be taken out however they were put in. They should be easy to take out AND put back in for those who need either. Not a wrench turning event every time you need to change configuration.

For me, I plan a permanent delete with whatever Goose Gear develops.
