Howdy, question for you Josh. Why are the 2 doors more difficult to get built or constrained? If we take the hard top out of the picture, then what would be the issue.

Thanks

are they monthly allocations? If so, it wouldn’t really matter if they are eaten up with softies since that month they couldn’t produce the 2 door
Correct, it doesn't happen often, but they're times when a dealers' allocation won't be fulfilled because they don't have any buildable combinations, which turns those into dust basically.

It is a dumb game dealers have to play to get orders in...

Great question! It would be nothing, it is no different from the 4 door at that point. The hard-top is stopping a base 2-door from being scheduled versus a base 4-door. I have had base 2-doors get built with exactly NO options, but the minute you start adding, you start competing against all other reservation holders.

Sadly, Ford doesn't allow the 2-door to get shipped with a soft-top

@JoshuaPrieto do you know why a badlands seems more constrained than a lower trim Sasquatch? skimming forums, it seemed to me like a lot of base, bb, bd even with sas and 2.7 scheduled with no res in November, but few badlands. I’d assume it’s the sway disconnect that’s the constraint? Or are they grouping orders by trim and saying only X number of this trim this week, etc?

It is the sway-disconnect and the black/leather trim that is the constraint.. also people really love the drainable floors. That is my guess, but that would make the most since. I have had Squatch Outerbanks 314a schedule over a Squatch Badlands 333a - both 2.3ls

EDIT: Just checked, that Squatch Badlands is still not scheduled, the outer banks has an ETA of 1/18/2022 still

The best build combination for a Bronco is yours. If you compromise your build, maybe you're diluting yourself to just have the appearance of, the thing, instead of exactly the thing you want to be the arbitrary first, but definitely not the best. People who didn't reserve one in July 2020 or August or September, maybe even October of 2020, they're just Johnny come latelies that want to parade around town in what looks like a Bronco, but is functionally inferior to the best Bronco Sport. Do you want to be that guy?

Thanks for the insight. I was surprised to get a VIN and build week for my BB 2 door MIC with tow. But, I will believe it when I see it in my garage!

Seems like info more suited for a Facebook group of potential buyers instead of a dedicated forum for enthusiasts 🤷🏻‍♂️

🤢 I’m late to the party. I don’t want to parade my basesquatch around. I didn’t go basesquatch for a quick build. I went that route because I’ve never spent this much on a vehicle before and every thousand means something to me. It’s the reason i didn’t pre-order: I didn’t think it practical to spend this kind of money on a toy. I’ve since changed my mind

Soon.. Ford just needs to keep up production

Not sure if I understand your point, but noted! I believe anyone who wants a Bronco is an enthusiast, not everyone needs to do the same adventure though. Some are mall crawlers, some are runs to the beach with the doors off, and some go through the trails/dunes.

Not everyone is the same and will use the Bronco for the same purpose. I get what you're saying, I didn't mean to come off as I was trying to sell the Bronco to anyone.

EDIT: I shouldn't have to sell it to anyone here lol
