So I just called Ford because I am my peak frustration level with waiting. I spoke to the marketing rep and explained that I was a Day 2 res holder and why have I not gotten a build date. She pulled up my information and said that they are still working through Day 1 holders right now and I should have a vin number and build date in 2 to 3 weeks!! She was extremely nice and understood my frustration level. So for all you Day 2 res holders, there is a glimmer of hope.
Did you get her callback number so you can call her back if nothing happens? 😏

Good points...I suppose I wish Ford simply prioritized res holders. So if they know removing constraint would definitely allow scheduling, call order holders with res and give option. Or if they see another coming up for scheduling with no res or later res, and they could contact the res holder and give them the option of removing constraint items and getting booked before the other. Would require a bit of work and attention by dealer but would show their commitment to res holders. Just not sure dealers would have transparency or ability to make something like this work.

They may not be going order by order, but I think they are trying to do that when they communicate with the dealerships with lists like the one posted the other day saying the current constraints are MIC, Tow Package and Paint Protection Film. If the dealers don't take action on that I'm not sure what else they can do. They're not staffed to contact every res holder directly, that's why there is a such thing as a dealer network. Maybe send the same generic email they sent to the dealers to each res holder.

Just refreshed the tracking page and I'm scheduled for week of 1/31!

7/23 Reservation. Non-Sas Badlands. Dropped the hardtop last month, have just about every other deadly sin except Paint Protection Film.

Link for tracker:

https://www.ford.com/buy/manage.html?reservationId= <- add reservation # after "=" sign
Thank you for the link to the tracker. This is the first time I have seen this. I used the link with my reservation number and it shows I have a build week of 2/7. I have yet to receive any type of email yet from ford and my account says “ordering from dealer” which is what it has said for months now. Do you think the 2/7 date is legit or do you think I will get my heart broken?

It's legit unless your build week gets pushed back, which happens occasionally but usually not until much closer to the originally scheduled build week. The tracker updating to give you a date corresponds with an email that gets sent to you within 48 hours or so afterword.

This morning my build date was 12/20, and now it's 12/27. What's another week or two or three....when you've been waiting since 7/14/2020.

My exact build through Woodhouse south! Supposed build week of Dec 20. I have never been able to get the back door tracker thing to work. Even when I log in first. Dunno.

There seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people in this thread, and my related question is not worth a new thread:

How do I interpret the missing checkmark by "order" at top?

It is green in the bottom section, so I'm confused... At first glance it sounds like my 7/14 res / October 2021 order aren't fully in the system.

That’s exactly where I am - they have our orders, just not scheduled yet.

If it makes you feel any better, I was a day 1 reservation for a Base but wanted a Badlands. Called Ford to change and they told me to cancle and make another reservation. So now I'm a 7/16 reservation.

Just checked mine after a couple tries it worked! Build week 1/31/22, Badlands, SAS, Race Red, Soft top, 2.7 tow package. And just when I was beginning to loose hope, so pumped now.

On top of all that, you have reservations that are later than Day 1 and 2 getting scheduled...with the exact same or near enough build. I'm Day 2 with a soft top with no VIN. Allocations are the sucker punch they hit you with. On Thursday I saw several (6+) that posted with later reservations with BL or WT soft tops. The lack of clarity and the seeming randomness is what frustrates those that are 500+ days.

If I wasn’t a “green” guy I think the Hot Pepper red is the way I’d go. Even considered going against my normal grain, but I’ve never had a green option and not taken it.
