If you're looking for trails with views, you could do a lot worse than the Nicolai Mountain Loop that @swooshdave and I did this past weekend. It's a curated trail in the Bronco Trail App. Awesome views of Mt. Hood, St. Helens, Rainier, and Adams at various points, if you go on a clear day.

Not a huge challenge for the Broncos, almost entirely dirt/gravel logging roads, nothing interesting aside from 2 sections. The final climb up to Nicolai Mtn. was a decent section of bumpy, rocky, tree-rooty business with one fairly tight turn; I think I saw inclines between 10° and 15° for most of it. The descending route had a couple interesting spots including a fairly narrow spot between tree stumps and one kinda gnarly descending turn that I could imagine those with front cameras would be super happy to have them. After that, there was a longer descent that wasn't very steep but had some rocky bits that needed at least a little attention paid to wheel placement. That bit was a good place to turn on Trail Control, set it to like 4 or 5 mph and relax a bit. 😄

I'm always happy to have a front camera.

I'm in the Seattle area and use Trails Offroad for scouting. I'm new to off-roading since I got my Bronco back in October '23, but I'm always on the lookout for interesting / crawling type of terrain. So far (besides some basic service roads), places I've gone and recommend are:

- Tahuya ORV park near Hood canal. Only had about 4 hours here so I will definitely go back as it seems there was a lot more to explore, but the trail I did was a blast. Plenty or rock obstacles that you could try out, but also bypasses for most of the harder stuff if you're not ready for it. Also lot's of camping in this area to make a weekend out of it.

- "Lover's Lane" off Hwy 2 near Gold Bar. The trail I did had a number of rocky obstacles and off-camber situations with no bypasses. A very fun and interesting route with beautiful scenery, and plenty more to explore than the trail I did as well.

- On my To-Do list are Walker Valley ORV in Mount Vernon, Evan's Creek ORV park near Mt. Rainier, and Tillamook State Forest. From what I've seen of Evan's Creek I'll need to work up to that - it looks exciting but maybe a bit treacherous for a newbie.

Yeah we don't have Utah's terrain here, but there's still some good fun to be had! Please keep the local suggestions coming!

That's some nice stuff!

I hope you can plan a road trip and make it to somewhere like Moab.
