I keep hoping to get a 21 but am also wondering about one thing.

Do you think there is a chance that Ford changes something in the actual build of the Bronco rear dimensions that will leave all 21 owners on their own island for future tops. My fear is that they change the measurements for 22 and after so it won't make sense for third parties to build different tops for 21s.

Am I overthinking this?

I doubt they would make a change that significant after one year. I think that if they are going to do something like that, it wouldn't be until a model refresh.

They’re only going to change the dimensions for folks who refer to the Bronco as a “car” - Everyone else should be fine though. I’d be shocked if they made a major design change, especially like that, in the first few years.

No they would not do this. No retooling will happen. If a bolt-on or stick-on enhancement is needed that may be added but nothing affecting the body dimensions. This IMO.

Traditionally the only time Ford changes some of the core dimensions on a vehicle is during a generation refresh. Generations typically last 5-8 years… so I wouldn’t expect anything major to change for awhile.

You are overthinking way too much. They aren't going to do a refresh that soon. Refreshes usually happen 3 years at the least. Tooling changes cost a lot of money.

nothing to worry about, they won't change much if anything for MY22. Aside of colors and "packages"

I believe the changes will be on the inside of the MIC so outer dimensions don't change.

The only revision to the MIC top are radius edges to help with a finished look to the delaminating panel edge, they are basically the same top as originally planned.
