Wiring To Fogs and Switches...Unique Setup?

Yeah I’m not saving switches really, just kind of like the idea of having fogs on and then the ability to switch from white/yellow as needed with one switch.

On the powering of the relay, I don’t quite understand why it will draw 24/7? The battery is a power source that potentially runs through the relay if the relay is closed (I’d get one normally open). Then the aux switch controls when that relay gets closed and those are only powered when the truck is on. I thought the only draw from the battery would be the light but curious if there is something I’m missing.

Separately, I’m looking at the diode dynamics lights you have as what I want to put in - SSC2 SAE Fog White & Yellow then SS3 White Driving. Will have to figure out how to tie into the harness a bit from the relays and fog power. I’ve seen a few off-road “relay sets” that are in a box and waterproof but don’t know if they are any good so any recommendations there would be helpful.

Well if the relay is not powered it passes power through one state (call it white fogs).

When the relay IS powered it passes power through the other state (yellow fogs).

So if you left the switch active for yellow, and never turned that "toggle" off it'll always be powered, unless you have the relay's main power for the relay itself (not the power for lights) controlled through ANOTHER upfitter or from a circuit thats only on with truck (so with truck off it defaults back to WHITE fogs even if it's toggled for yellow since truck is off).

Honeslty, it's a lot of wiring a lot of extras.

The relay’s main power for the relay itself will be the AUX switch which is only powered when the truck is on. So when the truck is turned off the relay will open and there won’t be a circuit to the battery. The battery will only be used when I hit the aux switch that closes the relays to turn all lights on at once (master switch) not just the yellow. This will draw a fair amount of current that I haven’t calculated yet but to power all 6 diode dynamics lights at once I think I would need a relay like this.

I know this setup is a bit more involved but I’m using it as an opportunity to learn so don’t mind and don’t think it’s THAT bad but if there are ways to simplify and accomplish the same thing I’d love to do it.

The wife has a 2025 BB, I am changing the bumper to a mod bumper this weekend. The 2025 BB has no fog light wiring anywhere. I have already bought and installed the front/rear fog selector switch. I have found a few good threads of tapping into the harness for the front fogs. I bought Rough Country DRL Triple LED Fog Light Kit w/ Amber DRL. My goal is to use the rear fog selector for the amber selector and the front for the white LEDs. I dont want to add switches no it doesn't have Aux switches. If you guys know where to tie into the rear fog harness or fuse let me know I cant find anything.
