I'm not sure anybody had or has this issue but its worth a shot. I opened up the tailgate today and it looked like water was dripping from the roof. I looked and tried to feel for some water but could not find the point of entry. I'm posting pictures of what it looked like, any suggestions as far as where its coming from and how to stop it?

Open the tailgate and flip open the glass and check the rubber gasket/seal at the top of the opening - I have seen several that are not fully seated…

I've noticed water intrusion on mine from the rear window and what I've found is that water is leaking past the upper part of the seal. The reason for this, (it mainly happens over the winter) is that debris from driving over salt and sand covered roads works it's way in the seal between glass and Weatherstripping, allowing water to start seeping through. I've learned to clean the the weatherstrip with a damp rag every month or so and it solves the issue. I just chalk it up to roof shape.

Thanks, I wiped it today and I'll see what happens. I have an appointment on Wednesday for service and I'll mention it to then just to take a look at it.

You should also treat all of your Weatherstripping with a silicone lubricant spray at least annually. It will preserve the rubber long term and help to prevent it from drying out and cracking.

I opened mine recently after being parked in the rain and that’s about exactly where it dumped water from the tailgate window. In other words, it happened because I opened the window (not a leak). Was yours wet on the outside when you opened it?

I have an aftermarket top but had a similar leak - lower vertical corner where the glass closes. A little bit of weatherstripping there fixed it up.
