did you end up using the velcro? i put a few pieces on and found it got gummy and gross in the sun....

I did install the Velcro. Put the full strip on the upside of the channel so it’s covered by the top. Mom’s garage kept, so I haven’t noticed any gummyness. But the suction cups hold very well. Much more convenient thank the abrasive straps.

Went with the suction cups that screw in place also - the hot glue was not holding up.
