I changed my order from an OBX Squatch to a base, Just going to put some 33 inch tires on it and add a locker later. Probably the easiest way to do it is just by the ford performance rear end with the locker which is about 2K which would just require an evening to change it out. Or I might just put a limited slip carrier in it (~500 for the carrier and a couple hundred to have it installed).

Yeah I guess I had forgotten that you couldn't order the Base with the rear locker only. Maybe I had come across that limitation when I was spec'ing it, and then caught a case of CRS. At any rate, my advice for anyone who is considering a Base but thinking of switching to something else based solely on the lack of a rear locker, is this: Just get it without the locker. Drive it, wheel it, give it a chance to show you how much it can do without any lockers at all. That's what I've been doing, and I've been proving that you can take it way farther than most folks might expect. Watch my videos if you haven't yet, and if you can sit through mine and my wife's rambling until we get to the good part LOL. If you have decided that you probably won't be wheeling it hard enough to warrant the Sasquatch package, chances are you won't be wheeling it hard enough to even get stopped by not having a rear locker. And if it turns out the lack of a rear locker really is hindering your off-road adventures you can always add one later.
