where did you get the plans for this?
There's a great instagram account that I follow that does custom Lego versions of all manner of cars. Lots of classics. You should absolutely follow him: @Lego_911. He did a Bronco and so I reached out to ask for the plans. It turns out, his day job is as an engineer for Ford and he actually worked on the Bronco.

I sent him some photos of my truck and he modified his plans so that the Lego Bronco would look just like mine. I paid him $45 via paypal, and he sent me the plans and a parts list. I then took the parts list and uploaded it to Bricklink, which connects you with parts resellers.

My Area51 color has a pretty close analog in Lego called "Sand Blue," but it's a rare color so some of the parts were expensive. I think, after shipping (took 10 different orders from different resellers to get all the parts), I paid about $200 for all the parts. If this had been a kit from Lego directly, based on the number of parts (approx 1100) , It would have probably been around $120. So I definitely paid a premium. But worth it. If you did this in a more common color like black, blue, grey, white, or red, (and maybe yellow, err...Cyber Orange), I bet you could shave $20 off the parts cost.

It took a long time, actually. Probably 8 hours. But that’s because I didn’t sort the parts well and it took a lot of time just to find things.
