Like a lot of us I grew up with an extreme love of the outdoors (grew up/currently live in Colorado). I’ve never had anything nearly as capable as the Bronco...and as such I’m kind of flying blind with my build - so I’d love any/all suggestions about anything I’m missing (or should look at adding aftermarket).

I’ll start out by saying that I’m definitely going to be starting on easy trails and slowly working my way up...but I don’t anticipate ever going rock crawling or doing anything overly technical/extreme. That said I want something that’s kind of overkill so that if/when I do graduate to harder trails my Bronco is capable.

Here’s my current build:

4dr Wildtrak
Added the following:
-hard top sound deadening headliner
-front bumper heavy duty modular
-full body bash plates
-tube step
-wheel lock kit
-upgraded seats
-floor liner
-high package

I’m mentally back and forth on the towing package (don’t foresee the need to tow anything but who knows)
Would love the winch but $2500 is a bit steep to start out. Ditto the light bar. I figure I can always get both aftermarket if needed...but am open to suggestions.

Also I was going to get it in black...but was warned that it’s going to look like garbage after getting scratched up so am leaning heavily towards the carbonized grey (and the more I look at pics the more partial I am to that anyway)

So...thoughts? Any/all advice is greatly appreciated. Plus - it’s going to be a while (dealer told me we’d finalize everything hopefully @Nov) so I have a while to think about everything.
Thanks everyone!

Sounds like you’ve already figured out what you want. Black is a little tougher to maintain... but I don’t care, I’m getting it anyway... I’m not so much on polishing the damn thing anyway... just driving

I intend to do my add-one afterwards also, but I am a fabricator and plan to make most of my stuff... so

I'm getting black. Any color will look like garbage if you scrape and scratch it up.

I’ve been back & forth on the tow package as well... but mostly because of a bike rack and maybe a small platform extension to strap down luggage

my biggest reason not to is because of aftermarket options as well as the probability of getting it just in time for cold weather... so I’d have the feature but for the first 5 months would be unusable

All that said, you're going to have a pretty darn capable vehicle that will be future proofed for quite a while given your intended uses.
Personally, If you are skipping the winch and the light bar because it will be cheaper AM, then I would also skip the tow package. It won't be much more than $100 to do that one yourself instead of financing $600.
But then again, I have an affinity to doing everything myself. Even if you don't usually do that kind of stuff, a tow hitch and the wiring is simple DIY job to cut your teeth on.
