Stinger Tailgate Sub - Phoenix Gold vs. AudioControl

Has anyone heard both the older Phoenix Gold model AND the newer AudioControl sub version? Wondering how they compare.

If I'm seeing it correctly, looks like the Phoenix Gold is a single voice coil with 4ohm impedance, and the AC is dual voice coil for final resistance of 2ohm, so would take a little less to power.

I'm also looking for info on the new version. I've been lurking on Crutchfield for months now playing with different builds and I see that Audiocontrol has come out with a whole line of speakers. Reviews aren't in yet from what I can tell. Supposedly the newer version of the Singer sub box with the AC vs the Phoenix is supposed to be better.
