I have a 4 door 2.3L base that I would like to add front and rear bumpers to replace the plastic bumpers, so I am looking to get stiffer springs. Does anyone know the part number to the springs that come with the modular bumper? Or any other springs that would work for additional weight? My goal is to keep the factory hitachi struts for now. Thanks!

I have yet to see any published data covering the factory spring weight/strength. I have little doubt that it will be out once the aftermarket starts to catch up. I too plan to add an aftermarket bumper and winch up front and an aftermarket bumper in the rear. Keep an eye out for Eibach, Geiser and others to offer spring upgrades. On my FJ if I remember right the factory springs were 500lb up front. I added an ARB bumper and winch. With the factory springs it felt very nose heavy and nose dived under braking. I bumped up the 650lb and it was better than the factory ride without the mods.

I will keep that in mind. Thanks for the response!

Was wondering this too. I'd like to know the weight of the modular bumper to see how much weight a bumper will add.

I had the capable bumper and it was about 55lbs, I have read that the mod is close to 70lbs.

On that note, I am currently going to try out 4 door black diamond springs to see if that will be a significant difference. I have a 2 door black diamond and effectively added 125lbs with bumper and winch. The front axle difference between the two is 182lbs so that should equate to a slightly stiffer spring. On that note, I am trying to gather data on spring part numbers, can you tell me what part number is on your front and rear springs and what trim, doors and engine you have? or fill out the sheet
