Just installed this Rough Country Muffler Delete. Thoughts?

i tried multiply versions on my 2.7 and they were way to loud as straight dump pipes
ended up with borla full exhaust front to back touring
sold my dumps to 2.3l owners and they sound just right on those

Not quite the sound I was looking for. Curious as to how it sounds during acceleration or on a drive by though.

Definitely going to have to get used to this sound. Personally, I love it. I did consider the Borla exhaust at first.

I just bought the Flowmaster version but haven’t put it on yet. It was used a the previous owner said it was too loud.
I have the Flowmaster and it is loud and tinny, sounds like a Honda. I added a resonator and it smoothed the sound out nicely, still a little too loud but way better than the FM alone.

I put my RC Muffler Delete kit in this weekend. I've got the 2.7 on my Wildtrak and I was really kind of surprised. It sounded better than I thought it would and isn't so annoyingly loud that my neighbors are going to hate me.

The installation is simple, with the only difficult part being removal of the muffler bushings. Otherwise, installation is a few minutes.

Its mostly only really loud on a hard acceleration, but calms down a lot at normal driving speeds, including freeway.

The difference in cabin noise is noticeable, so be prepared for that.

The only other thing I noticed is that the noise makes it mentally easier to notice when the engine dips down in speed or power... so if it hesitates a little, you'll feel it more.

I'll live with it for a bit and let everyone know if I change my mind

But only when you get on it or all the time?
Mostly when accelerating or really getting on it. It’s barely more noticeable during steady driving.

if you do a lot of start/stop city driving you’ll hear it a lot. If you’re mostly hwy driving, not so much.

Let's put it this way, even if it's loud it will still be the quietest in the fleet.
