If not due to extreme angles, a CV joint boot at the end of the drive shaft can sometimes be traced to excessive heat in the joint itself which can pressurize the boot until it eventually tears open. Once torn open, the grease will spew as the shaft spins. The balls/race then get extremely hot and the joint disintegrates. Ford had an issue with this on S550 Mustangs where the boots were tearing open quite often. I spent time in the pits with a team running a GT4 Mustang in IMSA across the country and witnessed it firsthand. The fix at the time was to run a high temp grease (such as what Red Line offers) and running a vented boot. The problem with that is Bronco's are assumed to ford creeks, etc, and as such the boots are not designed to breathe.
Long story short, even with a brand new joint it is never a bad idea to swap to the best joint grease available. The reality is that nobody takes the time or effort to do it and Ford will just do Ford in the meantime and a fix may or may not ever happen.
