Interesting... Have to admit it doesn't sound ideal. The big take away in this article for me is the "passive drain plugs" whether you have carpet or washout. I guess its kind of a necessity with the thought that people will be fording their Broncos. I wonder if one of those drains is in the rear ducts.

Yes, what i was referring to was the article, not the subject. The article describes how the vent handles potential water in the vent (sort of) and has additional details on the drain plug

It's nice to have all those drains, but we will still have to be careful where we spray water cause those plugs won't stop water that accidentally hits the ac vent. I just want to hose out my rig and now have to be super careful about avoiding the vents. Now I have to be super careful not to directly spray the AC vent. Another question is, what if the AC vent itself is dirty? How do we spray it to clean it off without getting water in it? Curious to see how this all works out.

Them drains won't matter when I'm crossing the water or a mud hole and have 6-8in of water in there.
