Rear 12volt PowerPoint time-out shut-off length ?

I want to use the rear 12volt PowerPoint as the remote signal for my amplifiers. Anyone know what the time out to shut off is and can it be changed?

look back into this, i think there are other options for the remote on in the factory speaker wiring.
