Radio antenna

Does anyone know if there is going to be a separate antenna for the Sirius/XM? My F-350 has the whip antenna in front of the windshield and a plastic antenna on the roof between the clearance lights. I don’t know if the whip antenna will receive the satellite signal.

It will need a separate antenna. I wonder where it will go.

On my mustang the satellite antenna is in the middle of the trunk and the whip is on the side of the trunk.

That would make sense. Some people have been saying that it's the GPS antenna but GPS and Satellite radio are close in frequency so it could be used for both. The whip antenna wouldn't be ideal for satellite radio. Too long.

Yes. But reception will probably get weaker with a rack and stuff on it.

The roof is composite, wont block the Sat radio reception. (It’s the same on Wranglers). A metal rack *will* interfere, however. I have a Congo rack on my Wrangler and moved the antenna to a place where it isn’t obscured.
