quick question about slide-out tailgate

Ok, I was partly full of it. There is no carpet under mine and the cargo liner/lid is one piece.

THe false floor provides for some cool additional storage - or room for an amp. Before I added the amp I could fit work gloves and a 25' air hose.

One more storage idea is this little groove along the back frame - I was able to fit long narrow items like flares, walking pole snatch strap etc and still put the floor cover back down evenly.
