I find it funny that nobody has taken into account of the base model being UNDERPRICED for the market. They will make the money up one way or another.

I would think wheel/tire upgrade from Base would be 2K alone. Then you have to find someone to unload the original wheel/tires on which would be an additional p.i.t.a.

People are also assuming the survey pricing is the final pricing, it may end up being more or less. To me this was just a marketing research survey, I'm trying not to read too much into it. I'll just wait for the builder to come out before I make any decisions.

The reality is none of us know a darn thing. Just a bunch of people talking out their butt like every other internet forum, and making assumptions. all we can do is wait.

Or, I don't know, the 2-Door Base was set at that price as a loss leader and a marketing ploy to be able to advertise a certain "starting price". That's never happened in the history of advertising, ever.

I’d say it’s pretty unlikely that Ford is losing money on the Base Bronco. Are they making a whole lot more on every other trim? Most definitely.

Ford is pricing the Bronco at what they consider market in a very hot segment with 2 (now) competitors. Wraglers have increased $5k in the last 5 years - they are doing the same thing.

I can almost assure you they're not making much if anything to get under than magical "$30K" mark. They also know that there's next to no one that will actually order a Base and not add on options and accessories with higher margins. Many will realize that once you start stacking on things it's just easier to start at a higher trim level. The actual number of Base models will end up being relatively small compared to the other trims.

It's just like the elusive "under $60k" C8 Corvette released last year. They're a unicorn. Theoretically possible but they don't actually exist.

The Canadian BB is $1,500 Canadian more than the Base - i.e., Canada pricing doesn’t include that huge BB premium. Canadian Base Price translates (currency) within a few hundred of the US Base Price.

Ford is doing just fine on the Base.
