I wish I had spent a little more time on this but I can always make a pretty one later.
I ordered the High package so no built-in charger and I learned real quick how fast Android Auto drains phone batteries. I also wanted to put keys, etc in the pocket provided where the LUX phone charger is located. So I spent an hour with some scrap commercial plexiglass and made a hinged shelf. All cutting and routing was done with a table saw & router table. I wish I had taken the time to put some paper on the saw deck to keep slide marks down but it is so dark down there that they are not noticeable. This plexiglass is textured on one side and smooth on the other. I used the textured side up to ensure no slippage. I used the POLMXS charger with the short cord and plugged into the stock USB port. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08L3WM4PJ and Gorilla double stick tape on the hinge to plastic.
It seems to work well enough for me and when lifted up, it barely rubs the hand grip which keeps it in the up position. the phone in the pic is a Samsung Note with a bulky case(not small). I assume it would move around some on a rough trail but doesn't budge on rough roads and speed bumps.
