Hey guys - I'm curious if anyone has any experience with the painted door handle covers?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2353984135...uid=vxAihHynTl2&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I've seen a few posts in here about the standard ones (white, black, etc.) but I couldn't seem to find any posts about painted ones. It looks like they adhere in the same way as the standard ones: clips and adhesive tape. So I'm guess they're buying white/black and painting them - and marking them up $200 for the service (which isn't crazy) - but I'm just curious if anyone has tried it.

And I have seen the full replacement handles that you can order through a couple of the vendor partners here. They look super nice but I'm just a bit cheap so looking for a way to avoid shelling out nearly $500 for three (smart) handles.

That's a great deal, if you do end up purchasing those let me know how you end up liking them. I'm currently running the gloss black covers that go on top of my door handles and they've been fine, but I'd want something like this if/when they fall off

I would ask the seller. The wording tells me they are just covers that go over your existing door handle. Probably just 3M tape. (It says patented snap, either way, not oem handles) Which is fine. I have a set of painted covers on mine, no issues. Tight fit

Yeah, it lists ‘adhesive’ as the installation method in the detailed listing so I’m sure you’re right about it being 3M tape.

Where did you get yours?

They look like painted covers, not the full handles and for the cost I'd rather go with these from Lethal Performance:

$269 - painted covers or $349 for an actual painted Ford handle replacement.

Yeah, I totally agree with you on that price difference. Unfortunately, I have the smart key so the price jumps to nearly $500 (and thankfully I only have 3 doors - otherwise it's almost $700!). So these clip ons save almost $250, hence I'm considering it.

Does anyone know if the intelligent access will work if your covers don't have the holes for them? I'm seeing a set locally for cheap (no holes), but not cheap enough to just try without knowing.

Anyone have experience with this?
