Hey all, been lurking for a bit but finally registered an account to post. I have a Day2/Day3 reservation beginning with 102 but have not had my dealership do much in the way to reach out to me. Last month I was dealing with Covid sweeping through my household and apparently missed the memo on getting my order booked by 3/19. My local dealer in Denver (Groove) told me the book was closed and that any order I make would have me taking receipt in 2022, while another dealer I checked with said the order book has not closed and that my reservation # should secure my position unless there are issues with components/commodities and would still supersede an order placed earlier by someone with a later reservation #. Can I please get clarity on the truth here?

Also, will I be penalized on pricing? It seems that my mock build for a Badlands 4D/V6/SAS/High is higher priced now than it was when I did this exercise in January. I am pretty disappointed in that my dealer hasn't reached out earlier or been more proactive about booking my order. They say they can do X-plan, but other dealers around me say MSRP. I mentioned Granger being 1k below invoice and they say that would only apply to local market buyers (live in close-by zip code) and that my order transferring may not get fulfilled there. The example they gave, is that Granger may only get allotted 150 Broncos this year, but with numerous buyers in state/out of state booking orders through them, I am likely outside of the 150 lowest reservations to get fulfilled there and would be better off staying where I am at. Can anyone spill some truth here to help guide me?

Thanks in advance, the last 6 weeks have been rough and distracting.

Sorry for the multiple posts, got a notice to review the Admin's thread before posting and didn't know the submission took.

You're reservation should have been converted to an order by the 3/19 deadline. Most likely you'll have to get in line for a MY22? Call Ford to confirm, but unfortunately I believe that's the case.

You aren’t being penalized on price any more than the rest of us. The build and price had some pretty silly omissions originally that gave you things like upgrades to the 10 speed auto for free among other things. Once this was “fixed” most of us got price “corrections” not in our favor

Is there a particular number you recommend with Ford that I should call? My dealer won't go through this extra mile.

Other option is to contact @Granger Ford and see if they can help you.

Hey @NightShade! Welcome to the forum!
I hope you and your family are recovering well after your COVID scare. I’ll try to offer any help I can

1) Yes, the “deadline” was 3/19. No, the books aren’t “closed”. You can still place your order without losing your place in line. Your reservation time stamp will determine that. However, since you did miss the deadline you won’t be eligible for the first quarter of production. But after that you will be placed into queue like the rest of us. In your particular case with a Day 2/3 reservation I doubt you would be in the first 3 months of production. However you definitely have a shot at being a MY21....if you place your order now you are still eligible for that.

2) Pricing: you are not getting penalized in any way. If there have been price increases with your trim level/options...they apply to all of us. Missing the deadline did not mark your price up.
As far as x-plan vs MSRP vs invoice etc etc...that is all dealer dependent. Whatever pricing your specific dealer is offering is what it is.

3) Switching dealers to someone offering a much better price (ie @Granger Ford, etc): I would reach out to the dealership individually. They have been accepting reservation transfers from in and out of state, but with the high volumes they have + deadlines it’s important to confirm if they are still able to do this.
However your dealer is correct in the example he/she gave. If you transfer over to another dealership and they have 150 allocations but 500 orders placed...there is a chance that many of those 150 allocations are Day 1 reservations which would place you outside of that initial allocation bunch.
^Again this is a hypothetical and you may fall inside the “150 allocations” based on your Day 2/3 reservation (it’s important to get this information from the dealership directly and not from people like me pontificating haha).

I hope this gives a little bit of clarity and I’m sure other members of B6G will be able to provide any details I may have missed.
